It's like a race against time to inflict manpower loss on the enemy, but with the high drain of fuel and manpower it feels almost impossible. Is it big? I hadnt noticed. Does anyone know what the decrease is precisely? I have only messed with it a bit and by the time it comes i have plenty of MP to float and an army of naturally vetted inf. In: COH2 Gameplay

I really think the trade-offs for picking the radio commanders make them balanced in relation to others. I mean, isn't Shock Army just the strongest overall hands down? Normally but with the new commander...Radio, PPSH, Script Repair, Single T34/85 (so go ahead build T4 DONT FEEL GUILTY!) and IL2. The other doctrines are pretty lack luster. With the PPSh upgrade they force you to pay attention to your German infantry and support your MG42s properly--the MG42 is your go-to counter that should be supported by LMGs or StG 44s (rather than simply massed StGs for late game combat). Frankly, I'd rather have DPs as a doctrinal unlock, since Cons are too squishy (imho) to be worth it as "assault" infantry. Plus I'd be reminded of BARs from vCoH . Oh well. Yeah I would agree with you normally but now with more than one you get that critical mass effect going on. Where you have enough Scripts that just focus down infantry so fast that they dont lose alot of models. And when I have PPSH I dont even think about STs or heaven forbid Penal Batts! And when I dont use PPSH I miss it like CRACK! So there is something wrong there. But then again hey Ost has the G43 blah blah blah. I dont know how long its been since wooof updated the DPS spreadsheet but I would like to see a DPS Comparison. If its less than the G43/LMG42 then cool we are good and I am just ungimped and feeling POWERFUL but if its close it should be more expensive. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Grenadiers: 5 man squads?22 Feb 2014, 01:53 AM Make them spread out more and all Ostheer problems dissolve away into the ether. I wouldn't like 5 man squads because now all of a sudden the Ostheer sniper is alot better when compared to the soviet. As it is at Vet 0 I find myself yelling FIRE ALREADY at my on screen sniper.... Possibly 60 though, after all Ostheer needs to pay 60 for their upgrades. As long as its apples to apples DPS wise 60 Muni is fine. If its not make it less. But right now it seems to cheap to me as well. The new doctrine doesnt have guards or mark vehicle which is what eats up my muni if I play Soviet. So if I got a ton of muni why not spam PPSH? Thread: Assgrens are worthless with 320MP21 Feb 2014, 20:15 PM I could see them lowered in cost to say 300MP. They are niche and easily countered. I mean if PENALS can beat em.....what more can one say.... Firepowerwise your always better off with LMG grens IMHO. It would be like build Penal Battalions when you have PPSH scripts....why? Edit: Now back in the day when they came out and you couldnt build T1 for a dogs age I could understand why they upped the cost. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: How to deal with maxims? 21 Feb 2014, 20:09 PM Jump back to quoted post21 Feb 2014, 18:00 PMJaigen Incorrect. small arc or not their are plenty of cut of points and choke points that allows the maxim to handle multiple gren squads. second even if you need a maxim to deal with each gren squad its still a massive win for the soviets as you will win nearly every engagement. and as said before try using a flammen HT and the guards will deal with it easily. and by default it is a serious balance issue that an unit that's extremely expensive early game is your only counter. and wth are you talking about bleed mate? maxims cost 15 mp to reinforce. one of the main reasons snipers dont do much damage at all. And shouldn't the maxim be easily countered as the mg42? after all the cost the same. Constant hit/run and squad whipes cause a bleed. If you are having problems countering maxims with a FHT I really dont know what to tell you. I personally like the Scout car too because its sight range means Guards and Zis are going to have alot harder time sneaking up on it. Fragile or not proper use of a SC can really be a huge PITA for Soviet T2. And when I say Proper I mean attacking where they are weak not where they are strong. Also Mortors do the trick nicely as noted above. Maxim spam is very very easy to beat with a little bit of Micro. Just as easy as MG42 spam. Can you spam Attack Move against it? No. In: COH2 Gameplay

If their marketing is smart, they should be doing everything in their power to get publicity around it. Agreed. And Marcus I too experience the same thing...when I leave my Video Encoder running. Which used to cause lag spikes and get me kicked instead. Now when I get a lag spike the game freezes for 1-2 seconds and then everything OORAHs around the screen. In essence...i now own my lag and dont pass it off to the other players. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Useless TIGER ACE after Aftermath Update!!!21 Feb 2014, 16:45 PM The armor wasnt nerfed. the LOL 50% incoming damage recieved was nerfed. That means its effective HPs are the same as a regular Vet 3 Tiger not 2x Tigers. Use smoke. It prevents rams. Back Away or close the distance it prevents rams. Cause the T34 to have to turn because it has to be straight pointing at you to ram. Ram is easy to counter if you dedicate some time to learning how hard it is to pull off in a dynamic battlefield. Also dont run around with your TA unsupported. Its not the IWIN button it once was. Keep at least Grens with it for faust...yet another thing that stops rams. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Radio Intercept21 Feb 2014, 15:23 PM This thread is growing like a weed. I dont mind seeing some adjustments to Radio Intercept but WOW. Its like this is the next 1 CP Shocks..... If Radio Intercept is moved up in CP it wont be nearly useful. TBH the thing I like the most is knowing if I am about to get Ostruppen or Assgren spammed or some other cheese like that. It is useful even later for teching as noted by everybody who has used it but a good player doesn't really need it right? You Pros already know what every build is so who really cares what he built? I am more concerned personally with my 3x PPSH LOLING everything on the map and making Shocks and Penals worthless for cost but that seems to be getting even less attention than this....
