Lets say 2 Panthers. 2 Panthers are dedicated Anti-Tank, and cost almost as much as an IS-2, which is dual Anti-Tank / Anti-Infantry. Even so, the IS-2's gun is as effective as a Panther on Tanks, and a Sturmpanzer on Infantry, the trade-off is the slow rate-of-fire. I would hope that 2 dedicated Anti-Tank's can kill one breakthrough Tank. Alternatively, yes, a single Panther can kill a single IS-2 from the front, but that's just RNG. A T-34/76 can beat a Panzer IV from the front as well, and is even more likely to have success with this than a Panther vs IS-2 is. Actually with a Panther you can micro in such a way that the IS2 is constantly stuck with Turret traverse as your drive around it getting hit after hit in as it helplessly lumbers backwards to try and get away from the Panther thats on it like a bee hive. This will net you a kill with a Panther vs an IS2 1v1. Otherwise I dont know a Panther and a single faust hit? A Panther and a single Shrek hit. A panther and a single Pak hit. A panther and a Stug. A panther and a Brummbar. A Panther and a P4 a Panther and an Ostruppen squad and and and.... Also a single Tiger thats cheaper.. IS2 is hardly the beast its made out to be. Now if it had 1080 HPs rather than 960 then you may have a point. As it stands it takes far too much of a beating from a lone Panther to be even remotely considered OP. In: COH2 Balance

ROFL! Thats EXACTLY what Soviet T3 has to deal with now. How about using the Soviet tactic of having to use two slightly cheaper tanks to take on a better and more expensive one? I mean thats what has to happen in the current balance model on the soviet side.(85 fuel vs 115 fuel) @OP Ram used to work 100% of the time. It has now been balanced and has does not work 100% of the time and can be cancelled as has been explained. Most of the Soviet player would have no problem with ram being completely removed and replaced with T34/85 upgrade or build-able out of T3. Both of these topics have been discussed since beta. But Relic really wants the Soviet to be stuck with the T34/76 with the ram mechanic. They also nerfed it to the point where its a huge risk to attempt and quite often ends in the T34/76 loss. It only works against overextended German players period. A tank that is on equal footing to the P4 (T34/85) is the overwhelming preference. In: COH2 Balance

Feel free to comment on my suggestion, or give us your suggestions. I see a lot of people going all defensive, and I dont think it benefits any of us. There needs no adjustment to Ram it has already been adjusted and is fine. Hit panzer tactician smoke it WILL break ram even in process. So will Faust. Thread: Ram 1 Mar 2014, 23:49 PM Another get rid of ram thread. Oy Vey. I am with Katitof here. Ram is sadly a needed mechanic due to how bad T3 is and Zis are in their AT role. But hey if they want to cut all the Tier Prices in half and allow the Soviets to build all Tiers then sure take away ram. Also while they are at it make the Vet 1 ability something like non doctrinal self repair and Vet 2 something more useful like I dont know tons more armor? T34 has been turned into Pgren Bait with the moving scatter penalty. Ram really is all its got going for it. In: COH2 Balance

Hits like a Guards nade now (which CAN whipe but doesnt ALWAYS whipe) As far as the OP. I think you are going about this all wrong. The problem with the team game modes is resource sharing and scaling. Relic should simply adjust how muni and fuel scale on larger maps. Make them worth less resources for example and not allow things like Opels to share. I get Caches because you can only ever place one but any number of players can plant Opels. Once this is done the fuel cost will impact higher games and things like Shrek Blobs and Hordes of Panthers will be nearly as painful to pull off as it is in 1v1. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Guards as Anti Infantry23 Feb 2014, 17:04 PM Guards have 4x Mosins but they have higheraccuracy. Guards do the same damage without the dp lmg as a vanilla gren squad. Penals do 50% more damage than vanilla grens. The dp lmg slightly increases guards dps but not to the level of penals or lmg grens. In essence for all practical purposes you get a vanilla gren squad with two models that allows you to retreat when grens would be dead. So in essence anything with better ai then vanilla grens has better ai than pos Guards. In: Red Army Strategies

How to prepare for infs and tanks attack at the same time? I need to spend full units limit to counter 2 panthers and 3 squads infantry. ISU or IS are very effective against Inf but those are doctrinal units while Brumbarr is not... Also I dont get it why assault grenadiers are available from 0 CP and russians guards/stromtroopers form 2 CP. I guess I should use Cons agains assault grenadires? Great chance to succeed... By the way, I just finished 4 games 4v4 as soviets - all lost. Once we had advantage, but when 3 panthers came it was end. Also 1 as germans and you know what? It was very, very fast and easy victory. Most my games are 4v4 and in my opinon soviets are unplaybale in 4v4 game. 4v4 you will rin into a problem of scale. Like you said. Soviets are at a majir disadvantage late game in this mode. Mines universally kill. Off maps can force retreat the infantry. But you already have the answer. Also katushas work wonders. Or perhaps put a kv8 behind your at force. KV8s fear no infantry of any kind ever... In: Red Army Strategies

Otherwise conscript support tactics with ever useful flame arty would be picked much more often and became even more popular doctrine. Its the single 34/85 that makes the doctrine so appealing, rest are useful additions. I think you are under valuing script repair. After a ram pintle mgs wont cancel it like self repair. It doesnt feeeze the tank either like self repair. And it costs no muni. This is in a doctrine that easily supports T4 play and will always have Ram due to the single call in. And scripts with ppsh will be your infantry force. This new doctrine has so much synergy its insane. The doctrine shouldnt be judged by its parts but as a whole. In: COH2 Balance
