Does anyone know if this will fix the issue of merge selecting both units? Half the time I use it I accidentally retreat both units instead of just the one that merged, nullifying any advantage the action had in the first place.
Not to mention there are references in gamefiles from P3, to be more specific its MGs.
To be fair, there's also a partially functioning "Panzer III" in CoH2, but it uses the Panzer IV Ausf. F1 as a placeholder, and doesn't have a squad assigned which results in the AI being horribly broken if you attempt to give it any order. I think the All Units Mod has a working version of it, but still has no model, it's only a Panzer III as far as the unit name and stats.
only a small fraction of forum boys want early war stuff.
the majority wants the famous tanks.
The fault isnt at Relic
Late-War is as stale as the bag of chips I forgot about on top of the fridge for a month and then accidentally left open last night. Some Panzer III's and M3 Lee's would be so refreshing.
Relics aversion to P3 or generally early war tanks is matched only by their fetish-like lust for P5 and P6.
Don't have much to add, this is pure truth. I was really hoping Afrika and Italy would be early-mid war, but it seems we're stuck in a 1945 timeloop again.
Yeah I gotta say it's really disheartening to see ~LATE-WAR GERMANS~ for the 6th and 7th time in a row. It's Italy and Africa, can we please have 1943 and some Italian forces?
So I was browsing files, and pretty much its confirmed that the Afrika Korps is its own army. There are so much references to it being its own factions, along side standart german faction.
Aswell as it pretty much confirmed that there will be campaing in Afrika involving afrika korps.
Anything on Italia? I see very few mentions of them in your post, mostly regarding artillery or partisans, but combat engineers are in there too.
My problem with CoH2's AI is that the early game is as you'd expect, the mid-game is extremely rough, but the late-game is easy. Early on they can't outproduce or outtech you in any meaningful way, but in mid-game they they get a fast light vehicle often before you can field a counter, then a fast tank when you're just reaching your own light vehicles. But if you can weather the onslaught of enemy light vehicles and tanks and get your own armored corps, the enemy is drained of resources and can only front a steady stream of medium tanks to confront your several.
An ideal AI for me would be one that is more dynamic, one that can be set to match your army value or something, to provide a steady challenge at all stages of the game. If that means they get some free tanks late-game.
I've heard from a friend that it won't have any more mod support than CoH2 did. Whether that means pre-workshop or post-workshop I don't know. It'd be nice for them to unlock modding on CoH2 again at least.
