It's significantly more survivable than the Mortar HT, though, and the shells land faster (Particularly closer range, i believe) In: COH2 Balance

But prioritize vehicles does not disable MGs, or was anything changed? If some other people here of the community agree with me, would you please pass forward to the rest of the team to add the Panther as well? First, the gun's damage is quite abysemal, second, the setting should be set to where the unit performs best in. And nobody buys a Panther to use the gun for shooting at infantry. I don't want to blow this out of proportion since it is a rather small change overall, but it will be hella confusing if SU85 and JP4 have it but Panther not. Especially because has literally the AoE of a SU85 with higher scatter, or abysmally better AoE than a JP4 with the same scatter (see below, in first picture the line of SU85 is directly below the Panther and therefore not visible). As an aside: Wow, i never realised quite how bad the scatter on the Jagdpanzer IV really was, especially in comparison to the SU-85. I still love my Jagdpanzers though. They're a quality little TD, especially with Elite Armour doc for the HEAT shells. In: COH2 Balance

Don't think we need 20 maps in 1vs1. I still have no clue as to why Vetoes are hardcoded. I see how even doing that would be difficult because there are so many values for even a single weapon, and there are so many weapons...but is there also some software that one could use to organize that data after having it look through the file? This all sounds like a lot of work lmao This is for leaderboard information, not for weapon statistics. The latter can be gotten fairly easily through the modding tools. In: Lobby

Empirical, evidence based and substantive data driven figures? With automated testing over a large number of iterations? Mathematical modelling of units to ascertain compounding advantages? Or for that matter the asymetric advantages of Lanchester? Or.... Is it just all pulled out of someone's ass? IF, as appears to be claimed, AI fights have absolutely no relevance or bearing... Because, erm, it's playing a completely different game like... Or it smells or something... Then what is the oh so superior model or tool being used? Elchino's post above mine gives you the Methodology. And I, and others, have explained that the AI is simply incapable of playing in the same way as a human player, and so does not give an accurate picture of unit strengths and weaknesses, nor of the faction as a whole due to it's poor combined arms usage. The "Strategies" it uses are not applicable to balance, and the higher level AI cheats through resource gain rather than being any smarter. The AI is in no way an useful tool to balance around. I'm really not sure if this is supposed to be a joke post. The fact you suggest that The Clown Car and Sniper can be used as counters to Pgrens suggests that either; A: The soviet player has gone Tier 1 against Ostheer, which isnt advisable. B: The Soviet player has backteched to Tier 1 after a Tier 2 opening in order to counter Pgrens. This is even less advisable, and results in the counter being inefficient, and you delaying your T70 significantly. (The extra delay here, particularly if you decide to tech reactively, means the Ostheer player is likely to be able to also get his 222 out and directly counter both the clown car and sniper.) The argument that these units are "counters" to Pgrens is immaterial, as you simply will not see the units in a normal match vs Ostheer. In a vacuum they do the job, but you will not have access to them, and so this is irrelevant. In: COH2 Balance
