I've goten Storm in complete random 3v3s and each time won. Cherry picking one game doesn't really prove anything. You have a perfect 100% WR with each faction? Pulling arguments out of your ass doesn't really do much you know? Well, unless you're 10 y.o. then it's all there is.
He doesn't even have a bad opening lol. It's a neutral to good in an OST/SOV matchup.
Here we see: stormjaeger loses his fuel point at 3 minutes. Briefly connects to opponents fuel around 5 minutes for a few seconds before being cutoff. Shortly before his 222 arrives at around 7 minutes he has only 2 standard points connected, and has had maybe 30 seconds of fuel point control for the past 4 minutes.
40 range is NOT an effective range to consider since cooldown and aim time force ptrs to move while a light vehicle can fire on the move
If the LV is firing at them they can fire back without any sort of movement, but if you want to try and kite ptrs with 40 range vehicles you're more than welcome to.
Most infantry AT weapons have 35 range vs the common 40 range vehicle cannon which is why kiting can be somewhat effective.
Edit: if you are new to the game consider that to avoid and minimize ptrs damage you should reverse and use a range advantage to shoot without letting them fire. Obviously you may get chip damage, the trick is to avoid being flanked and cornered or let infantry get too close, so that you can repair your light vehicle and use it again. Also use infantry to screen it while you reverse
PTRS is 40 range. Puma is the only axis light vehicle that comes to mind that can outrange PTRS.
How? HMG and gren will be ready faster then double con and from there its about equal.
If you don't open with HMG, you're not playing ost right.
MG 42 has around a 35 second build time. Engis around 17 second, cons around 25 second.
OST has to build t1 for grens tying up pios.
Either you have no idea what you're talking about, or are intentionally lying as you could merely watch one single OST-SOV matchup to see that SOV consistently maintains a one squad advantage over OST in the early game.
What? The general dynamic for an even game is that OH slightly pushes ahead when they get a T2 LV and then SU recovers when they get a T70 out. Then a PIV arrives and it equalises with whatever vehicle soviet decides to go for.
The general dynamic prior to LV is SOVs take OST cutoff, or even push them into the base however. This is because SOV is able to field their infantry much faster, and map control favors high health units.
FWIW all this arguing over subjective criteria is exactly why I hate the claim p4 comes first, and I'm only continuing to demonstrate the toxicity of it.
If you don't see why yourself, you should be here, not in balance section, asking people to explain you basic mechanics.
Post a thread there asking for help with that and I'll gladly explain it to you there.
And if you really insist its still a balance issue, then post a thread about ATGs being OP against tanks and I will again, gladly explain why you are wrong there after half a dozen people will ridicule you.
Elephant is more expensive so it should have better performance. If you can't understand this simple concept please reference your own post history.
If you still insist that it's a balance issue for a more expensive unit to out preform a cheaper unit on top of the more expensive unit using a commander ability we'll all ridicule you here.
