Usf get the best a-move unit, doctrinal early sturm-like ass grens and a mortar to support it, ukf get an incredibly powerful defensive mainline, a powerful vickers capable of countering even green cover squad with high dps, UC, that can get flamethrower or portable hmg (old kubel, anyone ?), and soviets, that can use uberpenals, flamethrower, demo, doctrinal hmg, m3.
ALL of those factions get tier 0 healing station.
Volks are inferior compared to penals, riflemen, IS.
Kubel is inferior to UC, m3 (more nerfs incoming)
Sturmpioneers drop like flies unless the perfect point blank flank (for which you don't have any smoke) and any double mainline engagement will make you trade negatively if not get wiped even with such flank.
If okw early game was barely decent it wouldn't ALWAYS need to go for luchs..

Its a somewhat fun commander with flamethrower to the extreme, which, at least in theory, should be useful in urban enviroment.
In practice however, the commander simply does not work.
Only the Sturmpio flamethrowers are of some use, Salvage is... well its there, the unique call in, the Hetzer is one of the most useless units of the game, as comes too late, vulnerable to any kind of armor, has all the problems of casemate tank and the unit is just meh in general.
The rest of the abilities are just weird or useless. Recoup lossess seems to be out of place for this commander, how would it synergise with.. flame weapons and flame tanks? And why waste munition on the off map Stuka flame attack, when u have the same thing for 100 fuel and without warning from the Mechanized truck for example?
It could be redeemed as a heavily urban combat focused commander, but then it needs to the tools to do that.
Stuka barrage is ok, it is completely different from normal stuka (which in my opinion should use a normal barrage like that).
Realistically..if you are going to use flamethrower, you are NOT gonna waste fuel of flame tank.
You want to capitalize on it and get 2 sturm that will most likely live and scale whole game, be more versatile and cost efficient.
I would definetly split those, but 2 doctrines can be changed...for some weird reason... |
OKW Feuersturm
Buff Hetzers front armor to around Jpz levels, nerf rear armor. This would be still The thing comes too late and is lackluster in performance.
Remove Sturmtiger from Elite Armor, add it to Feusturm instead of the useless/redundant flame rocket barrage and add Panther Commander instead to Elite armor.
This would give OKW to specialized doctrines (one geared towards urban fighint, the rest to really boost the tanks) instead of two weird ones.
I'm totally with this, the whole idea of a commander using always flame, with flamethrowe, flame tank, flame barrage...is beyond any level if stupidity..
And finally elite armor will have elite armor.
I would also split flamethrower from flame tank.
But I don't think they will change elite armlr. |

The 160 HP nerf is unwarranted as the Stuka has much shorter range do not get the option to stay away from the frontlines, as opposed to the Calliope, Katyusha and the Panzerwerfer. Its not so hard to reach and counter - a Stuart or T-70 can do that nicely. This massive nerf to health is unwanted, unwarranted, nobody has asked for it and is counter intuitive to boot - one halftruck has half the health as the other halftruck, nah.
If accuracy is a problem then fix accuracy - the walking barrage is something nobody will miss as its weird to use, weird to see and is predictable to be avoided. Give it the same random barrage as the Werfer etc, not some super-easy mode for lazy allied players to counter it which involves throwing one dispensable suicide T-34 at it or a bunch of penals to fire off one-or-two round.
Otherwise, what sort of counterplay options are there? Do not build the Stuka, do not fire the Stuka? Ridiculus.

A lot of teamgamers (including balance team mods) asked for it.
Because if in teamgames each player can afford 3-4 arty pieces and still have the resources to protect those with frontline units, it's not because of the huge resource inflation (because who could have ever imagined that more resources in only slightly bigger maps and modes that don't have to be shared but are multiplied x players would have broken the game 1!!?1?), it's the unit itself...so they will ultimately nerf any unit to uselessness so any 1vs1 game will be panzerfus/volks into luchs and gren/mg into stug spam even more...BUT FINALLY...their 1 bridge map game artyfest is balanced...

Your comment made it clear that you don't know anything about Soviet units. The IS2 is something like 160 damage, 40 range. The SU85 is 160 damage, 60 range but also one of the worst pathing vehicles. They would love to have the TD that you imagine they have.
Also, just comparing damage, range, and penetration is a joke, since the armor values of allied tanks are typically much less than axis tanks.
The cheapest tanks don't have the best values ever ?

The KT if anything needs a small buff of armor, it has been overnerfed in the original from 425 to 375. The thing is dead slow and unable to react or retreat, armor is literally its only protection. The Churchills at least have ridiciul health pool, and the others can make a reasonable attempt in reversing. KT, not so much.
I'll rather take some decent mobility.

I would give up pinpoint accuracy for multiple rocket spread such as that of EVERY ALLIED ROCKET ARTILLERY.

Panzerwerfer you can hit and not do jack shit. Especially at max range where it’s safe.
You’ll see every allied rocket artillery in most 1s/2s. When was the last time you seen a werfer in 1s? 2s they are rare as well.
