This has only been untrue for 9 months now, it is simply cruel to expect people to have caught up with that change.
T34's primary anti-infantry weapon are its threads. The gun might as well not exist 95% of the time.

T34/76 is actually pretty bad now that they fixed that bug. It lowered the units ROF which made it crappy. The gun on the T34 is incredibly RNG-based. The Pz4 is so much better
Yeah that's why every ost players get the p4. no wait they dont. the t-34 is a fine unit but if you play against the okw the only tanks you are going to face are tank destroyers. the t-34 is still a better ai tank then the p4 because of the lower scatter and the fact that ost/okw has less men per squad. less at and it has a good chance of losing to the p4 but what do you expect when the p4 cost 25 more fuel.
safe for the su76 who needs a light penetration buff and the su85 who needs a rotation buff all the units in the soviet arsenal are fine. that the soviets are spoiled with their over efficient 85 who requires no teching doesnt mean that the t-34 is bad. perhaps the 85 needs a nerf or needs to be tied to teching. |

Worst medium tank, worst tank destroyer, no stock late-game infantry, useless su-76, unused M5. Only Snipers are powerful. M3 and Penals as well but only at the beginning.
On the other hand we have Luchs, Obers, Panther, Stuka, Puma, Flak truck... All of them are very powerful.
You haven't apparently not learned one bit . after that little replay i and several others are completely convinced that your skills and your understanding of this game is on the lowest levels. Everything you say is simply not relevant to many.

Soviet stock units are very bad along with inaccessible tech costs

Let's compare Soviet and OKW tech costs:
Soviet T1 or T2: 50 fuel
Soviet T3 or T4: 120 fuel
Soviet T-70: 70 fuel (need to invest 50 + 120 + 70 = 240 fuel to get out)
Soviet T-34: 110 fuel (need to invest 50 + 120 + 110 = 280 fuel to get out, note: 20 fuel more than double T-34/85s which are a lot better)
On top of that soviets need to tech at leats AT nades for additional 25 fuel. Molotovs are pretty good too, even just for cover denial or winning engagements, another 25 fuel - while OKW comes with schrecks just at the expense of munitions, very cheap grenades and obers have free LMG34s.
OKW T1 or T2: 40 fuel
OKW Flak HQ: 80 fuel
OKW Puma: 100 fuel (need to invest 40 + 100 = 140 fuel to get out)
OKW Luchs: 50 fuel (need to invest 40 + 80 + 50 = 170 fuel to get out)
OKW Panther: 175 fuel (need to invest 40 + 80 + 175 = 295 fuel to get out)
The 66% fuel income doesn't mean anything when the teching costs are dirt cheap. The panther counters the T-34 by miles with just 15 fuel more. This needs to be adjusted. It's even more broken in team games if the OKW player is supplied using the luftwaffe fuel supply (most broken out of these), fuel caches or Opel trucks.
perhaps the 85 is simply to good compared to stock tanks. oh btw the ost is in far greater trouble because the jacksons counters basically everything the ost has in stock and only the tiger saves them and the 85 pretty much does the same.
the soviet stock units are fine however. what's not fine is accessibility. as i said before if a soviet player builds either tier 3 or 4 the other tier should get a 70 fuel discount. this way you can have both ai and at tanks on the field. |
Nevertheless, vet bonuses are defensive bonuses and are in game.
Ignoring them pretty much equals to ignoring penetration when comparing AT units dps.
If that wasn't enough, we have defensive modifiers from command tank as well.

Your comparison in vacuum is irrelevant because in reality Shreks have no problem penetrating Allied medium tanks, they only struggle against IS-2 while Bazookas will have problem penetrating even PzIV. The only thing Bazooka is better at then Shreck are light vehicles. Does that make it better AT weapon?

True but that's why they are cheaper. basically you can outfit a rear echelon with 2 zooks for each volks with a shrek. but their are no medium tanks to fight against so the value of the zooka drops.

You might want to educate yourself on axis tank vet and what it actually gives to medium and heavy armor.
Allied armor do not get defensive bonuses with vet.
About 50% of axis medium and heavy units do, that includes blitz, which reduces received accuracy and directly translates to survivability.

Despite having similar DPS, the bazookas suffer from having to fire more. So while volks can shoot and reposition, if bazookas follow suit they lose their DPS. While comparing the two you also need to look at the squads they are on, Vet X volks are WAY tougher then riflemen. So often times were the volks can stay and fight, riflemen are running for there life.
A good solution to this balance problem would be to buff riflemen toughness when they pick up bazookas.
When it comes to tanks neither unit is more durable as the defensive bonuses do not apply to tanks. also do not put them on rifleman its a newbie mistake put them on RE. vet 2 rifleman are more durable infantry until the volks reach vet 5. and its a hell of a lot easier for rifleman to reach vet 2 then its for volks to reach vet 5.
