You have to give up and hope that you will kill it in next clash. On the other hand Panther can easily chase and finish retreating unit. And this viedo is not about thing I was saying about. This is not an issue , you are not allowed to have an i win button against tanks. If Jackson at least has something to increase sight (it does not have roof for a purpose - to increase sight but we don't see this in game). you basically saying your not supporting your shit . simply send an infantry squad. safe for the elephant with scope sighting should never be turned on. Right now "tanks" are better than allied "tank destroyers" at killing tanks. Jackson would need 7 penetrating shots (160dmg) to kill Tiger and I think 7/11 would be fair ratio for penetrate. Tiger needs only 3 so what's the problem? Tank destroyer -> Heavy Tank -> Infantry (other tanks as well but without such efficiency like TD) -> Tank destroyer. And the circle is closed. In coh2 it's like: Axis TD -> Heavy Tank -> Everything. Ok we are getting to this. fine double the penetration rate of the jp4 and puma as well then and double the dps of the panther because its a td as well and should and should not lose to tanks like the is2. does this sound stupid? it does doesnt and it is just as stupid as your suggestion. A TD should be effective at killing tanks true. but it should not get a free pass period. In: COH2 Balance

Wehrmacht suffers from some poor units early game being mainly: MG-42 Sniper 222 This kind of pigeonholes Wehr to go gren spam every game, Maybe a mortar or a mg here and there but certainly not the centerpiece of Wehrs early game. Wehr stands on pretty much grens pzgrens and paks alone until tanks come. I agree while some units ostheer are a bit underperforming especially the ost sniper who is in my opinion far to fragile as well as the somewhat lackluster tier 3. the fact is that the ost have some of the worst light vehicles in the game . damage output between the m20 and 222 is about the same but the durability is way better ,especially with the skirts. utility is also greater: mines smoke and free zooka. i suppose we hould increase the fuel cost and buff the the durability would go a long way to adress a lot of early game ostheer issues In: COH2 Balance

So whats the point again to invest into 700+ mp and 200+ fuel to get a heavy tank out that will simply get shot to pieces by 300+ mp 125 fuel jackson. Heavy tanks work on the concept they are durable.goes for both the tiger and the is2 allies have problems penetrating the tiger and axis have the same issue. safe perhaps for the panther but considering the cost and overall dps its balanced. Also mapchoice and location. then they have issues period and if i look on the stats correctly the soviets are also dominating the ost. surprising since cheesy tacts like sniper spam, maxim spam and the power of the early game m3 causes this. issues that the okw doesnt suffer. For example Jadgpanzer has smaller size than... M3 or T70 Your Panther support should be blob of vetted Volks. Panther + Volks can easily handle with 2 SU or 2 Jacksons SU85 is very easy to flank and Panther is faster than Jackson so... If panther reaches the jackson or an su85 gets flanked then you fucked up. also complaining about the su85 being flanked but not the jp4. hypocrite much? both depend on support. and yes i need to support my panther with volks otherwise it will lose against the is2 but then again the soviets can just as easily support his shit with at guns, In: COH2 Balance

For Axis is not that hard to penetrate IS2. For Allies (especially for USF) is really, really hard to do it. __________ I am looking at the penetration numbers but im also looking at the dps and cost. And yes you are right the panther can penetrate the is2. but you can have 2 su85 or 2 jacksons for every okw panther. and what they lack in quality they make up in quantity unless you have a pak 43 or panther (with support) the axis face the same issues when it come to dealing with the is2. And to be honest i dont mind that the is2 can ignore most axis AT and you should have decent at to counter the heavies just as well. In: COH2 Balance

But it could have just been changed to restrict the base area. No thats the salvage doctrine arty your talking about that could destroy an usf base. zeroing arty never targeted buildings.
