CoH is a game where factions live or die depending on their infantry options. So the IS nerfs were like a sledgehammer blow and kneecapped the faction.
I believe the mod team have hinted a infantry and bolster rework is on the cards if Brits continue to be UP. I would like some flavor go be given to Tommy upgrades with an early anvil or hammer lock in. Then make Bofor and AEC techable without lockout.
The officer is a great step on the right direction, but like others point out it may not be enough. After playing around with the new WASP and officer I don't think it's going to change much of their issues on cqb maps. Maybe a slight bren buff ranges 0-10?
Considering they refused to add a mortar and instead added pyro smoke, indirect fire is probably not happening.

Vickers is good at vet 3 and can suppress
Issue is MG crew often die or need rebuilding, then once your vickers is back to vet0 falls and vet 2 obers can quite literally walk up and laser bream it dead frontally. Maybe give it good suppression stock and only DPS buffs to its previous level through vet. Simple swap
Churchill issues are linked with greater Brit popcap issue late game, expensive IS pop when five man and already inflated Churchill and firefly pop on top makes their army size smaller than soviets or USF.
Look at the bang soviets get for their popcap with three penals, shocktroop, KV1 and SU85 compared to the mediocre line up of four IS, FF and Churchill. This could be fixed by reworking bolster and IS, putting them inline with rifleman pop. Or dropping FF church combo by a couple pop. |
Also there is a difference between tactical control groups and blobbing.
But the OP here confuses the two and thinks rifles shouldn't perform on the move. Rifles entire identity is mobile assaults in tactical groups to counter stronger axis support weapons. Without their BAR dps riflemen are toast. |
I mentioned players who have 2 faction rankings at 50ish. I said Tightrope is 40-56ish, he has rank 48 ost, 43 sov, 63 okw and 56 usf. I said tootsy’s non-usf is 50ish, he has 55 Ost and 88 okw.
Perhaps you could do something as basic as looking at ranks instead of taking offense for others.
You should judge them by factions they play, because factions they don't will have drop ranks longer you don't play them

Fuzzi, DaPopeCoH, Zeva the angry Dutchman, JaeForJett (50+ with EF factions), Tightrope (40-56ish), TwistedTootsy (non usf), borobadger (40ish), Tiefflieger, Finnded, etc
Some of them have have 20ish ranks with some factions, but I think if they have 2 50ish ranks they qualify.
Now you can say they’re not well known, in which case I’d say that’s not up to you to decide since you don’t play 1s.
Tootsy and tightrope are both top 30, calling them top 50 is borderline insulting with the skill they possess. Vonivan has been top player with every faction bar Brits and struggles against Tootsy each time they head off. |

all TD have there special abilitys... Su has sight, FF has tulip .. well Jackson has super repair, high speed, thoughness, great dmg, high accuracy and and and.
Tulips are a muni sink that help vs big cats like KT.
Trying to hit a flanking panther especially at range with tulips is difficult to say the least. |
The Firefly doesn't have poor DPM against heavy vehicles because it deals more damage than the other TDs. Its TTK on a Panther is the same as the Jackson's (33s from the first shot disregarding accuracy/pen) because it needs 1 less shot to kill it. Same for 1040hp heavies, and against 400hp lights (which it kills faster than a Jackson or even an SU-85).
Once it gets vet 3 (240 damage) it actually has significantly lower TTK against a Panther than a Jackson (19s vs 25s or 22s with HVAP).
It only has lower DPM against medium tanks because it has overkill damage (until vet 3) against 640hp vehicles.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure SU-85 has differing TTK even vs panther, you yourself point out Jackson and FF have varying performance vs different tanks due to RoF and damage differences. Yet a repeated argument by some on this forum is all three units are apparently OP for the same reasons and lumped together in their calls for nerfs. |
