You can’t go early sniper vs UKF since they now have countersnipe.
Solid arguments, but I think I’ll take top players like miragefla, seeking, fire and terror and orangepest agreeing with me over a guy who has never touched high level games.
complete rubbish, trash even.
Can't go sniper because your UKF opponent can build a sniper? then surely that is countering his build. You're forcing him to buy a Brit sniper and early engineers, because with 5 IS he will have no snares.
We also have ashablios top 1 in all factions complaining IS were too weak with 0.90 RA last patch. Surely his and others that said IS were crap carry weight? Or are Asian players ignored because they don't partake in the english community as much.
seeking is a member of T.R. clan so i know him (i actually told him to snipe miragefla to show him how op sections are) and he plays brits Becouse he clearly thinks that they are op and he wanted to see how easy he can get to top 10 in 1vs1
I mean are you actually going to comment on the game? OKW player despite losing his LV early was winning with just volk spam vs the apparently invinceable tommies. Then he threw away an easy win by going tiger stall and building a stuka vs comet with one ATG on the field. He also replaced his losses with vet0 volks, when obers would have eaten up rifle tommies.
Stormjager what exactly is the issue you have with this clip?
Call me a Brit fanboy if you like (they are my highest rank, just played Wehr all day tho so whatevs), but I disagree that this is a balance issue. Even if I don't think "manpower maths" is valid in most cases, Kaitof has a really obvious point here.
There are EIGHT sections here, plus bolster upgrade and extra reinforce costs, plus grenade upgrade, plus medic and pyro, plus they throw a succesful grenade. Versus 3 stock grens and 2 MG42s.
In terms of MP / Muni / Fuel, that's something like 2400 / 300 / 50 compared to 980 / 0 / 0.
Yes, it was a massive noob play by the UKF player. But how was he allowed to get to that point? Where is the rest of the Wehr army? If UKF player bought only sections, why didn't Wehr get 222 or 444?
And can this really be explained by the relatively minor buffs to moving accuracy and received accuracy to IS in the last patch?
Good post, but this is turning into the tiger thread already with denial of stats.
I would like to see this moving accuracy a few people are crying about? From what I've seen rifles and BARS still blow all other mainlines out the water for moving DPS. Obers and stg volks aren't bad on the move themselves...
The foaming at the mouth from stormjager or incrounds is really crazy to me, pretty much all tommies got was 0.05 extra RA out of cover (they are still weaker than before due to RA reductuin two patches ago) and a minor buff to moving acc on Rifles. But they're hardly penal or rifleman tier.
The problem with last patch is when you nerf their RA all the way down to 0.90 they will really get walked all over by obers and Ost G43s. Which considering IS are the most expensive line infantry in the game is obviously problematic.
Andy RE: "Overall sentiment suggests Tommies are tOo pUniSHinG to use, especially in fights where they need to maneuver. These changes are designed to make them less difficult to use in the open and on the move, while keeping their overall power level rElatIvELy the same."
Andy RE watches the video clip: "pAtCH wOrKInG jUsT aS iNtENdeD!!!!!"
Anyone can post a clip with a blob and ability without context, but how about actual replays
Here is seeking top 7 brit struggling vs some rank 30ish player that refuses to build any infantry apart from volk spam, yet the OKW guy only loses because he throws all his vehicles (watch his amazing puma micro), stands on grenades and decides to stall for KT when he could wrap up with panther.
OKW are stronger this patch, but Ost vs Brits is a different match up.
the autofire is not really any good anymore so I don't understand the rage.
Yes it can decrew your pakwall from 80 range, but if you ask me all support weapons should be able to clear an ATG or MG crew in one manual barrage. The most frustrating thing in the game is using a mortar or 120mm and an MG surviving an entire barrage with one or two model losses.
If someone is dumb enough to leave a support weapon under barrage it should die nine times out of ten, prefferably around the third shell. Right now mortars are pretty useless vs anything but buildings after the great indirect nerf.
Yes I'm going to say it the mortar and ISG nerfs were a mistake. Buff the AOE of all indirect barrages and make the vet increase RoF.
Addressing just 4(because that's what the thread is about after all), he is indeed right, soviets and brits do NOT have the exact same units and abilities with just different skins, AT IS works in context of other british tools and tech system and upgrades, including actual potent handheld AT, PTRS Penals with stats of AT IS and AT nade would NOT work in context of faction and tools it has.
I find it hilarious you even try to contest that point, you're very average player at best, but at least you play all factions, so I can not wrap my head around you even considering the thought that AT penals would work past early game with AT nades, when in this very patch AT IS was buffed specifically because they didn't.
Gamers in glass houses should not cast the first stone
1) AT tommies where actually OP at some point in time and had to be nerfed:
"BOIS Anti-Tank Infantry Sections
The AT Infantry Section will no longer be able to purchase upgrade kits due to their existing versatility.
• Can no longer upgrade Medkits/Pyro supplies
• AT nade range from 20 to 15"
2) Pls do not twist what I post by I wrote "they are fine" (present) and you responded about how they "were (not) fine" at some undefined point in past.
3) As well aware a doctrinal unit will not be used if they commander is not chosen and thus the use of unit (not taking into account of use of commander) say little for value of the unit.
4) Finally if in you opinion if PTRS Penal will some how become nerfed by getting the AT grenade tank hunter IS have feel as claimed by Aerohank feel free to make present your argument.
Imo if Penal get the Boy rifles type weapons and AT grenades instead satchel they will probably be OP.
Now can Pls stop to prove my every post wrong and derail threads in process. I am pretty sure that user of this forum are getting tired from this behavior.
They were not OP, it's just that doctrine was the only way brits could fight competatively (they had no snare vs luch) and that doctrine was the only one that got picked. Someone in charge of balance at relic decided "meta = OP" and that was the result.
Now years down the line the unit finally got buffed again. Which obviously hints that nerfs were not needed.
Now the lackluster performance of Ostheer really comes to light. This is not compensated by a cap buff and Inf reinforcement cost. This "buff" puts Ostheer Inf exactly to the point Tommies are from the start (28 mp and fast cap rate).
All in all the patch further nerfed Ostheer by taking away their crutch unit; mind you a faction that was down there close to uselessness with Brits. Brits however got some better buffs.
Actually this is incorrect, tommy gets 25%. After T4 every single Ost inf unit gets an extra 10%.(sapper or vickers etc have no bonus) Plus cheaper ost weapon teams, grens, pios and ostruppen.
It's a buff, you can't argue any other way because Sov, OKW or USF do not have such cap speeds on infantry.
However Pgrens and doctrinal inf apart from 5man gren and ostruppen are not effected by price reduction.
Penals have some issues but the AT package isn't one of them. Upgrade one too many squads and it can really bleed you lategame as their only role is trying to scare off tanks with satchel as they get kited.
Pgrens have the opposite issue, their shreks aren't that reliable vs T-70 earlygame but can put the pressure on allied TD's and meds lategame.
I like this idea, although I’d change the speed buff value. 10% of an acceleration is like 0.5 at the most. Not really worth mentioning a lot of times.
Truth be told I stole this idea off another twitch user. But a mobility buff to the aura would certainly fit the "mobile" theme of mobile defence.
