Thread: Conscript Utility10 Feb 2019, 16:40 PM When you compare them it becomes obvious that they do just that. 10mp does not equate how much better volks are overall. Their combination in the levels of utility and fighting power are to high for that price. 10 mp diffence does not cover or justify this. Yes cons are cheaper to reinforce but they drop models like crazy. require specific tech to get basic abilities. And they require doctrines to scale. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Conscript Utility10 Feb 2019, 15:14 PM Volks can fight have strong field presence and scale while also having cons level of utility. And dont eat muni to be at full potential. Cons cant fight dont scale without doctrines and eat muni to preform on a base level while also requiering specific side tech. but have same level off utility as volks and can give field presence to other units. And can become durable through vet. All in all volks punch way above their price class off 250 mp. Cons are actualy balanced imo. Volks need to loose either utility or dps/scaling in some way. Being able to destroy any building so easily and pretty much anything else and at the beginning of the game . It needs a massive cost increase or its damage output halved. The longest fuse giving plenty time to evacuate, the shortest range making it the least likely snare to conect. These 2 things justify its price and damage. The normal satchal will not kill anything mostly because of the long timer. Hence high damage to denei garrisons. Its primary function. The range on the at satchel is so short it use is very limited. Thus doing big damage if something finaly gets into range. If you cant use these two glaring weaknesses to your advantidge its on you. In: COH2 Balance

Specificly the maxim vs the other mg,s. I also personaly feel that the mortar also does not preform at its price level and want your opinion as well. The rest of the post are simply flawed theories which I will not even bother responding to. Imo it is partly as a result from penals being strong. Also because cons arent really viable in the long run, they mostly become ineffective without doctrines in the late game. The micro tax is already the highest imo to get their full potential. The maxim is a strange mg. First mobile small arc low supression. Everthing just walked out of the arc in seconds. Supression buff made it to good. Now its an mg42 wannabe with a shitty vet ability. Cons used to synergize with maxim better when it was highly mobile. Now cons struggle without that and the maxim is a wannabe defensive mg. I think if penals are nerfed to 270mp of the past, wich not that much better then cons. the maxim should be mobile and agressive again. This way cons can fill the void together with the maxim. Thread: Rework Penals29 Dec 2018, 12:01 PM Just make the maxim cost 240mp again. That is the price it should have with the preformance gap between mg42 and maxim. Or make the mg42 more expensive. Its unacceptable that the maxim costs the same as an mg42 wich is in every area but hp the better machine gun. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: can we now fix soviet T2 please?23 Dec 2018, 10:11 AM Knocking 20 mp of from cons wont screw up the ost soviet balance. Ost already has better scaling and a lot better support options and grenades. Replacing a wiped gren squad hurts ost less because they can just slap an lmg on them and gain vet that much faster and compete again. Cons are pretty hopeless when replaced and fighting vetted squads. If volks are not to touched because wfa will just roll over them, cons have to made cheaper. 10mp price diiference for such a wide gap in preformance is unacceptable. Maxim and 82mm mortar also have no bussnis costing the same as the ost counterparts. both maxim and sov mortar are (a lot) worse at their jobs. The maxim should cost 230/240mp max, it cant even stop anything frontaly before they chuck their grenade. the mortar no more then 230 mp. In: COH2 Balance

Because if I pick the "right" doctrine I now get an equally powerful squad for even cheaper. Not even worth considering a buff unless it's other utilities get nerfed. No singular infantry in this game is anywhere near as flexible as cons. All other infantry have relevant combat potential throughout the game except for cons without doctrines. Volks come very very close in flexibility. Anti cover/garrison snaring and sandbags are the same. Self heal is the merge counterpart. Salvage is the counterpart to oorah and tripwires. Only stg,s set them apart. Volks already have better dps and get all their tricks with normal tech and none are locked in doctrines. By this logic volks needs a dps nerf or a utility nerf. I think 20mp reduction to cons cost is good. No nerf to cons utility is justified because volks only cost 10 mp more have simaler levels of utility and on top of that are able to fight far more effectively. In: COH2 Balance

Conscripts vs Volks is another story mainly because of the ST44 imo. Yes i agree. The stg44 imo is the game changer for volks v cons. I agree also that the gren cons balance is good. Cons are more recource and micro intensive to get on the grens level, while grens are more fragile but do an overall better job without out the same player input. Because of that i believe cons should be cheaper. They need a lot extra to get on the same level. In: COH2 Balance
