It's cannon has no AI (0.5) but once upgraded with MG, it's got 2 hull MGs + top gunner which is often enough enough to support other units.

It's piss poor vs AI compared to P4 and Sherman (which, in HE is the best AI tank). Sticky nade could be removed.
Comet and Pz 4 have the same AoE as far as I am aware. And even without looking at the stats I would say that Comet is anything but "piss poor" in terms of AI when compared to the Panzer 4 ( even without all its AI abilities ) ( In case this was referring to the Comet)
And considering RNG. I mean, complaining about RNG is like complaining about luck in life. Deal with it. I've had games where my Panther didn't miss one moving shot long range and I've had games where a shot down plane fell on 3 of my reinforcing infantry near truck. 2 Obers and one sturm. One should never complain about RNG, ever. Play with the hand that was dealt.
Nowhere did I complain about RNG. I just stated that a Panther wins not that "easily" against a Comet on close and mid range. Its the same with Panzer 4 J vs T 34 85 for instance, here RNG can play a major factor too, because they are not that far apart. A Panther vs T 34 / 76 on the other hand can not be decided by RNG, because in this case the Panther actually wins "easily" |
High chance of bouncing panther? At max range it's 25%. At close it's 10%. Those are not that high chances of bouncing, especially not vs an expensive tank. Point is, Panther wins vs Comet easily and can easily scare him away (like it can with any tank really).
Considering that the panther costs more fuel and has pretty much no AI compared to the Comet it actually is. And on mid and close range the fight between a Panther and a Comet can actually be decided by RNG, so it is pretty much only on longrange where Panther wins vs Comet easily and can easily scare him away.
Imo a comet should not get a price increase though ( tbh the only thing I really want to see gone is its "Sticky grenade" ) |

Wrong, you will need an extra squad of any kind to get that vickers, which is 180 manpower minimum if you pick the medic (+ the income loss over time).
It is not like the squad will be gone forever.
Putting a unit into the UC is not an investment, unlike a ammo costing upgrade.
- Enter the UC with one squad
- Mow down the enemy
- Make the squad leave the UC
- Let the squad capture the point , while your UC chases after the retreating units

Wouldn't say that. In 2 vs 2 a 17 pounder can still work at level 13 ( thats the best I can get in 2 vs 2 :/ ) , although not on every map( on poltawa it can lock down mid quite well imo ) .
Also it still works far better than a Pak 43 ( yes ... it can't shoot through buildings without using a ammo costly ability, but at least it doesn't die to 1 mortar shell ) |
Imo a replacement for Relief Infantry would be easier than trying to balance it, it is just too random and the benefits are questionable.
For Festung Support I would propose cp0 ostruppen or hull down. It's a defensive doctrine, these could fit imo.
For Lightning War it would be Assault and Hold from Infantry commander, goes well with the doctrine's nature.
Replacing them would be my proposal too. But please no more Osttruppen doctrines. Imo the "Osttruppen Doctrine" should have stayed the only one with CP 0 Osttruppen ( I mean ... it is literally named Osttruppen doctrine )

The similar Rapid Conscription for soviets is probably a bit easier to use in this regard and grants a much better replacement infantry, thanks to the 7 men upgrade, but I'm still not fond of it.
I also feel that the soviet counterpart of this ability is also better due to the fact that cons can merge. So if you lose 12 Models on Your 2 Mgs + Zis 3 Gun you can use them to reinforce
Osttruppen on the other hand are just meh infantry and might even make the situation overall worse for you, as they lower your MP income, which makes it harder to reinforce your units that suffered casulties ( which in this case are probably G 43 grens ) |
T70 aec stuarts are all a tier higher in terms of cost/timing and preformance.
The 251 just comes to early, and the flametrack is to dangerous for it to be imune to small arms fire.
AEC comes literally 5 fuel later than than 222 scoutcar / halftrack.
However its not like they 2 shot halftracks as atguns and bigger tanks do.
3 Shots from the AEC isn't that bad either ( you can also just need 2 Shots when you have some RNG in your favor with the MG / damaged it a tiny bit with section rifles ) |
90 ammo for maybe 1 squad of Osttruppen ( usually no way you can get more , unless you are blobbing straight into a B4 shell ) doesn't seem like a good deal to me. |
