Problem is there were a few people working there who were passionate about the game, but they sacked them all and kept the one guy who doesn't give a toss and needs help defeating CPU easy. Probably moved focus to next game. Though the next game is a prepubescent fantasy yawn fest (in my opinion) in line with most big games these days. Come back in two years and they may release coh3. Until then #dormantgaem
Looking at player numbers for each faction, I have come to the conclusion that this mortar stat "mistake" and the slow-like-molasses response from relic is entirely intentional in order to sell more usf doctrines and skins. If you look into the past on coh2chart you can see quite clearly across all player modes that usf player numbers languished significantly below the average of other factions. Since the op mortar, they are now much higher on par with other factions. So it makes sense financially and thus cynically.
-"It's like what Lenin said.... You look to the person who most benefits..."
-"I am the walrus!"
-"Shut the fuck up Donny!"
I am not talking about your play man but your behaviour (raging). Its just a game my friend
Which is why he said armchair psychologist, not general. Haven't you ever raged (at least quietly) at the frustrating things in this game? If you haven't then I suspect you just haven't played long enough. Shadowwada was broadcasting, so he embellishes the frustration. It's entertaining.
The mortar pit vets fast because it hja the worst offensive vet of all mortars on top of already being the least cost efficient for dps.
Hold on a second. You can't ignore the fact that it does not need reinforcement costs and has a ridiculous health pool with a laser forcefield around it. To say it is the least cost efficient for dps is taking a fifth of the whole story. Plus it has two mortars inside and outranges other mortars also. Of all the justifications I cannot believe anyone would say it is weak for the money.
Unlock flamthrower upgrade for RE with T1/T2 would have been another solution than adding mortar.
90% of the game I lost vs USF is because of Opmortar. It is very sad that Relic didn't prioritize higher this bug/balance issue for resolution.
I agree this would also fix some of the zook blobbing, as they would only have one slot left. But I think that would make them a bit strong with suppression then flames. A lot stronger than most other flamer options anyway.
