You just gave me an idea! Let's add to game on all maps neutral faction - Minutemens. While you playing, they will ask you to go and kill some gans/yankee/tommy/ivans creeps or build them new settlement in a middle of combat zone.
I think, Relic should take best ideas of their colleagues from Bethesda. And crafting, of course crafting.
Craft your own infantry squads, customise their weapons and equipments. Craft your own tanks, support guns... JUST CRAFT!
We must work in creative team of Relic, bro We can make great DLC for them, which will give them soooo much money... even Rockstar will cry, and even Gaben will become slim after that. |
Well, It would be interesting to have both systems - supression and morale.
Supression makes infantry ineffective and morale system would work in that way - if total squad moral became equial to 0, then it will be automaticly forced to retreat, like with Soviet Propaganda artillery.
And damage to morale will come from all damage sources. Less from infantry or tanks, but more from flamers, artillery strikes and such "scaaaaary" stuff. And of course, from some off-map abilites, like same Propaganda Maybe, supressed infantry will also get bouns to their morale damage.

What do you think about moving that ability from "cancer fortifications" to "royal artillery". RA doctrine is most shamely poor docrine in game right now, it doesn't really makes UK's arty work more effective, as it should do. And Relic putted only good artillery-ability not in Royal Arty but in already OP doctrine. Logic?
Maybe, little nerfed version of "Counterbattery" would make RA little better, little more attractive and make UK's style more supportive with that, don't you think so? |
We had thread about it sometime ago. There we suggested to buff howitzers in other way:
1. Give supression to howitzers, like LeIG's had. That would be both reasonable and effective, that falling shells supressing infantry, that stand close enough to blast area.
2. Let direct hit's to enemie's vechiles cause small damage effects, like stunning or turret block, or, maybe with small chanses even engine damage.
Majority, that wrote in that old thread agreed with those buffs actually, because they making artillery more effective as long-range random-effective support guns.
Guess, it would be real best way to make Howitzers more effective in thier support role. |
In Wh40k: DoW we had very interesting and cool system of soldier's morale. While morale wasn't low - soldiers fought good, brave and nice. When morale dropped too low cause of getting to much damage or getting special effect attacks - they became pretty useless in combat and could ignore your commands, so you had to move them back for restore.
That system was so cool because of some kind of realsim. So, I started to think - would it be possible to realise that system in CoH 2? Of course, supressing system somehow duplicates that morale, but... it looks strange sometimes. DShK as HMG pins infantry fast, but DShK on IS-2 doesn't. Morale, from other side, could be damaged by any possible damage and that is more reasonable. IRL soldiers will be scared and supressed by any fire - from infantry guns to artillery.
So, how do you think, may that system be realised - fully or in some part of it? And is it possible to realise it at all here?
Would be really interesting to see, how Axis soldier's morale goes to 0, when they getting Katyusha's barrage on their heads IRL germans really feared that thing.

Side tech 50 mun for heal flack and repairs
Volks with schrecks are fine, green cover is more needed for Maxims, not for Puphens, since they can into stealth.
New vet 1 for wehr? Why, just let med-packs cost 10 muni per use. I should say, that med-packs are not much more useless, than flaremines. At least I use med-packs sometimes, but never flaremines.

I don't sure, that schreck should be removed from volks... Since OKW's tanks cost a lot and coming too late, OKW needs some AT power for to hold until cavalry arive. Puphen AT is not powerfull enough and suffers from same problems, that Maxim have - platform on wheels. So, let them have schrecks.
Vet for wehrmacht? I don't know, it's well done, I should say. All abilities are useful, bonuses are also good. Something should be changed here you think?
And what side teches OKW needs? I only see possible side teches unlocking flame grenades and schrecks for volks. And not sure, that it can be realised well. What more? |

Falls deal great damage from all rangers to infantry, no questions. + They are infiltrators. Give them bigger survivability - they will turn into 100% imba-unit.
Whenever I use Falls Im soooo happy. Just don't let them move alone, put in front of them Volks for to get damage and - Falls will be horrible dangerous.
As axis-fanboys like to say "That's L2P issue, duuuude".

MG-34 for Falls? Really? They are already great in dealing damage, equiped with 4 FG-42s. That's like riflemans with 4 BaRs.
