why can't you be happy when soviets have all these neat infantry units to chose from with multiple skins for winter and summer.
Brits have a grand total of three separate infantry units (Tommies which are also recycled for weapons teams, sappers and commandos), usually with engineer spam and no unique winter skins.
Was the invasion of France spearheaded by welsh sappers? no, it's just the way the game is. \
Well, problem here is, that UK's RESappers are not their mainline infantry - they are sappers. And mainline role given to TommyRiflemans. Everything right up here.
In USSR it will go wrong. People won't use conscripts, they will not be compareable with Peanls. So - Penals with their hell-firepower will become mainline, and Cons will be either "supports with AT-nades" or totaly forgoten.
And this is not right, cos... Penals as armycore is pretty shamy. |
So much wrote, but answer will be short:
ITALIANS. CAN'T. INTO. WAR!!!
Of course, we can't make Japan as effective 3rd faction, cos... they hadn't so much in armory.
But... we have some eastern europe countries, which were occupied and had to support Reich. What about Czechs? They had a lot of their own in arsenal.

MG-42? It's going to be kinda "Maxim-DShK" for OKW now. Jeez, OKW turns in USSR more in more. First - no AT-infantry, second - HMG's stuff...
But really, Relic has full of Panzer Elite of units (from vCoH). Almost non of them were used in CoH 2.
Ostheer have Opel Blitz for to increase income from points? Ok, give to OKW Vampyr Halftruck for to STEAL those resourses from enemy, could be pretty useful, tricky and interesting, if made right. Or... give same Blitzes. Since we patching up all weak sides of OKW (by giving HMG for example), why not to patch up thier absence of depots in that way?
And I still insist, that pretty useless and rare Sturmtiger should be changed to same rare but more useful Bergetiger. Lost KT? Don't worry, uncle Berge will fix it back... |
penal was quite good now, buff works great, they still die like flies, but they can bring some destruction now! I like the changes
Noone argue with that, but is it normal, that good, disciplined and clear soldiers (conscritps) should be equiped and perform worse, than "milirtary crimes" and "real crimes". That goes against simple logic:
For my normal soldiers I will give... shitty old Mosins, if they want weapon - hire special commander, he will call in Moscow personally for that.
For my Penalty trash soldiers I will give... top of the line SVT-40s, Flamers and hell yea - PPSHs without confirming from HQ.
I guess it should be visa versa. All best for best soldiers of Motherland and all worse for dirty scums, cos you know - they are scums.
If there would be not Penals, but some other infantry group, like VDV soldiers, then OK, cos they were and still are elite. But now... it looks ridiculously illogical. |
It's kind of ironic that you sarcastically talk about allied fanboyism as if it doesn't exist and go around imitating "axis-retards" when you yourself seem to be a fairly good example of someone with very biased opinions. Do you ever argue in favor of axis buffs?
You would need to change a lot of things in the game to make the tanks non-doctrinal, and it would no question be a buff to both of the factions in question. The allies are already good, arguably slightly better.(although it's quite even imo, idgaf about 3v3 or 4v4) How are you going to balance out these buffs? Or would tipping the scales in the allies direction be a favorable result?
Well, asking for OKW-Hummels (sFH18s) instead of shitty Hetzer sounds like "axis buff". Asking for "make MP-40s more effective at mid-range, since they are so poor in close" is also sounds like "axis buff". Also, I stand against 95% of new things, coming to OKW, like "no schrecks for volks" or "pay for getting medics/repairmens". Schreckblobs weren't so big problem last time, cos we get Calliopes, Mattresses and such stuff, which was really effective against them. And paying additional MP for medics/repairs, when I already will have to spend additional MP on Puphens... Do they even understand, how much MP will require OKW for to be effective!? Right now it will be same headache to play as OKW, like playing as USSR - no AT infantry. It's really annoying, more annoying then absence of HMG. And we will feel it soon.
I just don't write about all of it, because mostly, people already discussed it - there is no reason to start it again. But... people ignore a lot of problem connected with USSR and USF - that's why it might look like I "sovietbiased" and non-objective 1-faction player. Each faction has it's own problems, whcih should be solved. But USSR has so much and so serious, that I feel, that they should be fixed first.
About balancing buffs - we should talk about each buff individual, but I think, that USSR needs buffs, which not should be "balanced" with something. Like buffing 222 car without consequences.

You mean blatantly OP? They are quite useful right now, just dont drive into Faust range, but I guess you dont want to learn that since you despite such "nerdy" tactics
They are sooo quite useful, that almost everyone says, that M3 car is pretty trashy, yea.
I just like it really.
M3 car price - 190 MP, 15 fuel.
222 car price - 210 MP, 15 fuel.
M3 - carrier infantry, 2 lame LMGs on hull, deals damage to infantry and small cars.
222 - penetrates my T-70/AEC/Stuart/M15/M5/M3.., can into effective AA, dealing damage to infantry...
From that point, I think 222 should cost at least 25 fuel per car. |
Because ostheer cant build mainline infantry from t0? And osttruppen for example cant use Panzerfaust before building t1 and (im quite sure) you cant use Faust when you destroy the t1 of ostheer anymore. But yes i definitely need to start to play all faction
Er... I don't get it about "can't build mainline infantry from T0".
But anyway, moving Pfaust from T1 building to T2 upgrade would make using M3, WC51 and such light allies cars more reasonable.
|
If you wold actually play ostheer you would know that you unlock Faust after you build Tier 1.
But... if YOU would actually play ostheer, you would know, that grenadeers are coming from same Tier 1 building. So, technicaly, they getting fausts even before they are coming |
Hm... they made panzerfausts for volksgrenadeers able only after truck building.
Maybe Ost grenadeers should also get their fausts unlocked after getting T2 upgrade? |
Except T-34 is a tank. Now with no OKW schrecks it is getting big indirect buff. There is no reason why allies should get more powerful standard tanks. Choose doctrine if you want them. End of discussion.
Ok, soviets should have powerfull tanks only with doctrines, get it.
Why then it accepted to Axis and UK to have powerfull tanks WITHOUT doctrines? Do they have some penalties for that, like... no good infantry without doctrines, or infantry weapons are only in doctrines?
You see, system, that allows Soviets to have normal units (not only tanks but also infantry) only with doctrines... Is not compensated with something! Stock units mostly are trashy, resourse income is not increased, pop cap is same (that's for spammin faction ok, lol)...
That doctrinal addiction is part of assymetrical balance, I know, but it is not balancing at all. It hardly cripples soviets! You want to get ISU? Ok, no T-34-85 for you bro! For some reasons, OKW may call Panthers and JT's at once because... Panther is not doctrinal, lol!
Is it ok at all? Compensate us that doctrinal addiction with something, really and everything will be allright. |
