Are you really comparing Ostruppen to T-34/85 and 76mm Sherman? Great logic.
I comparing Osttrupen to T-34-76 and M4A3 Sherman. They all are "cheap and spammable" units. Maybe Shreman is less cheap and spammable, but it's more effective than T-34-76 btw...
T-34-76 is really "soviet osttrupen tank". Effective only in large numbers, cheap and pretty useless when it's alone against other same type units. It would be more reasonable to put normal tank in T4, and move 76 in doctrines for those, who want to play through spam. Just like with Osttrupens. Grenadeers are your basic, Osttrupens - option for spammers.
That's more reasonable, again. |
Again shitty topic by "best su player" in coh 2 community player card plz.
That topic was not about "balance" or "playercards". It's about historic correcton and simple logic!
And everyone saw my playercard already, it's not that big problem to find it. |
There is nothing wrong with shermans and for Sov, read preview notes.
Yea, rised power of MGs on T-34. Great, now It can really stand against Panther in late. And KT, KT!! It will be scared of all those modified MGs, there will be bulletshtorm from T-34s.
Seriously, T-34 is not light car, it is tank. They must buff main cannon, not MGs, if they really want to make T-34-76 better. And best way was to change it to T-34-85, which is pretty good both against infantry and tanks. That's reliable tank for T4 soviet late, which will definitely make USSR better against heavy and superheavy axis tanks. |
No, because they are limited to balanced doctrines and it sounds like you want to make them cheap spammable units.
Nobody likes "cheap n' spammable units" ok? Otherwise, Osttrupens would be more popular for Ostheers.
We want tough and normal priced tanks, like T-34-85. It costs 130 or 135 fuel, if I remember right. Let it be non-doctrinal and for same price - everyone will be happy! And for "spam-lovers" put on 76 in doctrines instead.
Same goes for Shermans. |
Another allie's fanboy...
Don't you understand, that T-34-76 is AWESOME TANK! No matter, that it is your only hope in late, if you don't take doctrine with tanks, no matter, that it comes so late, no matter, that it suck to any other tank... IT'S AWESOME, YOU CAN SPAM IT!!! AND THEN FEED PANTHERS WITH FREE FRAGS AND VETERACNY, BRO!!!
And your statement about M4A3... ridiculous. M4A3 was top-middle-tank in game, before Cromwells came. Those chaning rounds - it's perfect agianst all targets, you understand it?! Ignore, that Panzer 4 is same effective against all targets with 1 type of rounds, ignore, that M4A3 is your only middle tank late, if you didn't take E8 or Persh. And, of course, ignore, that it is pretty paper. IT'S STILL OP!!!
But... I think we should imporve AI power of Panther, I think it should not only dominate over allie's tanks, but also over allie's infantry. Because, you know - Im axis-retard, duuurp. |
that was irony but ok
That's not that easy to see an irony in post or in chat Sorry, then. |
That's about upcoming patch changes. As we all know, it will seriously buff Penals, give them PPSHs, increase damage and such stuff... Conscripts, as always, ignored.
So, I starting to think, that after that patch people will not use conscripts as mainline infantry, or will use them way more rare. Penals will change them on that position, equiped with such firepower.
And of course, CoH 2 is not about history, and different squads are just different models in game, nothing serious but... Do Relic know who were in Penal Batalions? And how they worked?
Penal battalions existed from 1942 to 1945 in USSR. In those battalions criminals, cowards, deserters, alcoholics in army could "serve out" their punishment and after that - come back to regular forces with all their ranks or be conscripted in them from working camps. Each penal battalion after creation existed only few mounths, maximum service period in those battalions was 3 mounths. Totally, through penal batallions passed only 1.24% of all Red army soldiers.
So... I don't get it - why Relic starting to buff Penals in game - criminals and cowards, instead of buffing clear regular army core - Conscripts? It's predictible, that people will start to use now Penals as mainline infantry, instead of forgoten Conscripts. It makes me think, that Relic see those bastards as real core of soviet army - that's sad, actually.
Maybe would be more reasonable to change Penals sqads in T1 to some other specific soviet infantry, like VDV or something like that. But save their stats and buffs. Or... buff conscrtips right after Penals. Cos otherwise, we will have to use Penals as main soviet infantry power, they are obviously more effective, than conscripts. And it will be veeery sad, cos Red Army's core were not cowards and deserters, but brave, full of hate and really skilful (in latest periods, when CoH 2 happens) soldiers.
I still beilve, that Call of Duty: World at War shown us more fair and correct portrait of soviet soldiers of late war, than CoH 2. Angry, brave and absolutelty unstopable. |
hi all,
was playing a bit today and my 120mm hit a luchs and bounced, this confused me...
i know that balance> realism and all but shouldn't hitting a light tank with a rather expensive slow falling shell hurt?
this got me to thinking
should all indirect deal deflection damage AND/OR have higher pen?
Well... LeIGs and 75mm Howies doing damage to vechiles, but they are less moible, costs more and have little lesser AoE damage.
Mortars, from other side, cheaper, more mobile and have effective AoE, specially 120mm, 3 inch and such. They can one-shot even full squads, so - it's kinda way of balancing those inderects.
And besides - mortars dealing damage to light cars, like 222 or M5. Not sure, that it would be good to let mortars deal damage to light tanks. More than that - very strange, that LeIGs and 75mms are able to damage even medium tanks! Would be good to nerf it. |
Is it so hard to get 2 (cheap) raketenwerfer and place some mines? OKW will be just fine.
Those "2 RWs" may cause MP starvation for OKW, actually. Before, we could use only 1 type of unit for AI and AT purpouses. Now we need 2 for doing same. So, it's additional MP spendings.
Just like USSR should always spend 320 MP for ZiS-3, cos they don't have other ATs in early. With non-doc PTRSs ZiS would be less needed, I suppouse. |
