I guess, OKW should also get increased starting MP now, cos without schrecks to volks we will need to make Puphens.

About Partisans - we don't play in "ESL CoH 2". We play in simple CoH 2. And 95% of people don't use that doctrine in automatch games. Why? It won ESL for nerds, why people ignore it!? Why they prefer to have heavy tanks or artillery and normal late game!?! |
Well at least soviets can have guards or parstisans, to have at least some counter to light amor early on, while OKW will be forced to play with shitty raketen which cant even reverse.
Guards and Partisans are pretty rare in soviet doctrines. Both partisans doctrines are pretty weak (in general) and Guards - only 1 useful, that one with ISU.
So, you could really say, that USSR doesn't have AT-infantry. That causing free raids on USSR with 222 cars or Luchses. Be ready to T-70/M5 domination under OKW, lol. |

We had already STG-unit in OKW - Spioneers. They are pretty good, what for you duplicating them adding to Volks STGs?! It's unreasonable! Better give them German AT-rifles, if Shcrecks are so big problem.
Buffing Penals? Seriously? Maybe would be better to give that "assault pack" to real mainline soviet infantry conscrtips? You know what - Penals can't be soviet mainline, they just can't. What for you making them so?! Buff damn concsripts, they will go to oblivion after that patch, nobody will use them, only if for AT-nades!!!

MG-34 in MHQ is just a joke... I demand to add 0.50 HMG to USF T0 then, make PTRS rifles undoctrinal for USSR and hardly buff UK's artillery. If we healing origianly designed weak sides of one facion - why not to heal them for others, Relic?!
In the end - I hope those changes will not live long, maybe 1-2 mounths. Hope people will understand, that there is nothing great in those changes...
When they nerfed maxim we said "Soviet RIP". Now we can say "OKW RIP". Soon we will say "COH 2 RIP"...

You have 6 axis games so maybe 3 OKW games that should have gave you allot of insight on how Falls perform right?

I would like to revive that thread, because that problem (scaling and effectivness of Conscripts) became important again, after Maxim's nefring.
If Relic wants from us, soviet players, to stop use maxims as mainline infantry and use in that role real mainlines - conscripts, then I should say - BUFF THEM FIRST, THEY ARE DISGUSTING!
No additional weapons without doctrines (everything with doctrines, Jesus, EVERYTHING!), no global upgrades (like +1 men in squad for UK), totally nothing.
Problem of conscripts is their constantly bad firepower and damage dealing. Yea, they are survivable with 6 men-squdads, they can charge... But long surviving and fast running don't cause enemy death usualy. Their accuracy is compareable with B-4's one, such as rate of fire - enourmosly low.
So, I have here 3 ideas:
1. Make in T0 global side tech, which will change all shitty Mosins of conscripts/guards to SVT-40 rifles. That tech will unlocks with getting T3 and will cost a lot of fuel (60-70 maybe). Will make them more effective in late.
2. Give to Cons non-doctrinal upgrade with 2 (or 1) DP-28 or Maxim-Tokarev LMG. Unlockable also with T3. Or with additional side tech in T3 for little smaller fuel price (20-30).
3. Give to Cons non-doctrinal upgrade with 2 PTRS's. Unlockable with T1.
That one would be really usefull, because T1 provides you absolutely NO AT options, so you have to survive without AT until T3 comes. And that becomes more and more harder with new 222/221 cars and early-coming Luchses. PTRS would make using those units for Axis more dangerous and needed more attention and micro for not to lose them to infantry. Like using T-70 against shcrecks.
What do you think about it? Maybe you have your own ideas, how to make Conscripts more attractive for USSR players in early and late. Cos Im pretty sure, that condition of soviet stock infantry is so bad, that Relic will need to nerf Maxims to level of HMG-34, for to make infantry more attractive, than Maxim spam. |
Because the Panther comes at 175f(Ost)/200f (OKW) respectively and has 10 range less than other dedicated AT units. For Ostheer in general it comes in an unattractive tier with very high teching cost.
When you say "unattractive" you should mean T-34-76, not Panther. Cos everyone makes Panthers and almost noone T-34-76s, ok?
And that "10 range less" is price for 320 frontal armor, and nice speed. 10 less range and high price.
If you want Panther-type anti-everything tank you should play as USF and use Pershing, cos it's really copy of Panther with AI capabilities. Or call Tigers, they are badass too |
And I don't get, why Panther should have increased AI abilities? It's already good in that, having 3 or even 4 MGs on that. Panther is AT-tank with outstanding armor, fast speed and nice range of fire. Add AI effectiveness and you will get... Pershing with armor, lol.
Brummbar acuraccy should be rised right after buffing KV-2 and Dozer accuracy. Not before!
Nerfing riflemans? Ok, let's nerf infantry of faction, which is already have pretty poor and glassy tanks, no non-doctirnal mortars/rockets and latecoming HMGs. We already have crippled soviets without real core in their army, don't make USF lose their core in face of Riflemans, duuuude!
And if you gonna make emplacement's HP lesser, than makes MP cost lesser. I don't want to pay 400 MP for big, static and fragile mortars, for example.
