You're confusing anti-tank LVs and anti-infantry LVs somehow. Only the Stuart does both competently, but the common complaint is that it isn't great at either.
No this is flat out wrong. The quad , american flacktrack and the 222 are all quite capable in killing both infantry and LV's
Flak HT forces almost non-stop retreats and inflicts serious health damage and bleed, which OKW absolutely needs.
this is just exaggeration. and why does the okw " absolutely need" the damage of the FT? they have the best and hardest hitting infantry in the game.
An mg34 is absolutely no replacement for the mobility and damage output the Flak HT offers, and more importantly the mg34 is highly vulnerable to nades and mortar shells.
The m34 doesnt come with a 55 fuel price either. i rather stick with the mg34
In any case it's bizarre that you don't understand the importance of area denial in a game in which 2/3 of your economy is largely based on your territories held, and the win condition is literally tied to holding three areas denoted by stars.
Area denial has nothing to with territories held, but making sure your support weapons are protected. The moment tanks arrive the lv's get reduced to guarding the rearline anyway. |
It's not, the flak HT is far superior. Once flak reaches vet 2 it's absolutely disgusting. Only 4 things the quad does better is chase squads, chase lighter vehicles for kills, flank AT walls and survive better with overdrive. Flak HT is same or better in every other role, including area denial, damage output, veterancy, suppression etc. Quad is still a very good unit, but the veterancy of the flak HT is simply disgusting.
.
Better? mate the flaktrack is not able to perform these things at all. Which is a problem because flanking chasing and killing lv's are a very important reason why i buy a lv. For the record, i agree that a vet 2 FT is very good at area denial. However the OKW does not need much in area denial as their AT guns can retreat and the occasional leigh has sufficient range to be parked next to flak truck HQ. so its value is rather dubious |
There is no LV that has 400 hp with smoke by default. That is extremly too survivable. If it gets patched as so, you will see no pro player loosing AAHT before medium tank comes out.
So in return it would have to loose smoke ability and don't forget to give other LV such as USF AAHT & Soviet .50 Quad hp increase as well. In overall, I quite don't see a reason for buffing this unit. It's doing it's job pretty well, and survivability is actually better than similar unit - USF AAHT & m5 -
LV depend on their speed for survivability. To avoid at guns and attack from the flanks . If you have to stand still to do damage then you do not have any survivability at all.
The LV's that has the best survivability is without a doubt the m5quad. With its high speed ability and the ability to suppress infantry on the move. |
Still don't understand why the Brits are considered to be worse than USF on this forum when they have:
T0 HMG
Better infantry
Better TD
Mortar pit with long range HE barrage
Churchill crocodile
Comet
Sexton that does the same as the much more expensive Priest whilst being 90fuel
Hold the Line
Non-doctrinal 17pounder(situational since it's easily countered by static arty/Pzwerfer or Stukas)
They are supposedly "extremely-predictable" but I actually see different build orders as UKF early game, unlike USF which is always riflemen/pathfinder.
Because the ostheer with snipers+222+spearhead doctrine counters the whole faction with all doctrines. i do not make a joke with that. the brits perfrom far better vs the okw however
|
Yeah "thousands of points of damage" is a bit hyperbolic but probably fair. "significant MP bleed" is definitely bullshit unless you're playing vs actual bots.
I usually get between 12-20 kills in with the other mg's that still around 500 mp each match. That doesnt sound much bit its 2 whole minutes of mp for my opponent. |
Exactly. No one gives a fuck about an MG's DPS since it's not their job. All they are good for is suppressing -> right click -> move back -> setup -> suppress more till the infantry moves in for the kill.
I actually do give a fuck. Because HMGs account for thousands of points of damage and quite a lot of mp bleed and the mg34 is not doing that at all |
Really? That'd be neat, never really used the ability/commander tho.
Heh You should have seen the old version because it stacked indefinitely with ammo. If you had 600 ammo, you could nuke an American base right off the map as 100 arty shells dropped |
You mean like getting a stock HMG? OKW was launched with no mg34 stock, it was doctrinal. People complained, so they got one stock
Flak HQ isn't really OP but the gun should really have a popcost. Make the gun a free upgrade after panzer authorization. Only cost is 5 pop or something close to that
I dont see why OKW even needs the flak HQ anymore, but if it's not going anywhere at least give it a popcost
Why? this is not op as you have said it. |
how does the durability compensate aiming at a tank from behind a all. i rather shoot the tank then be some big target that has to brace making me no longer in the fight. and is it more durable though. its hard to target the pak43 with long range arty or whatever to break the gun. on a 17 pounder its going to break pretty fast cuz its a big target and the whole thing is basically the gun which always been wierd. i rather 17pounder be decrewable to so atleast i can try to fix it up again
You cannot recrew a gun if the pak43 is destroyed and most allied call-arty will kill the pak instantly. |
It you dont back off once the tiger tries to bully the double su76's it will most likely kill one su76. But if you back away your su76's you loose territory.
Having only a chance off 0,53% and 0,56% to pen the tiger at max and mid range it doesnt look good.
8x 140 damage or 9x 120 damage shots need to pen to kill it. When rng is 100% with you. Its about 15 or 17 shots when rng hates you.
While the tiger or a panther need only 3 to kill one su76.
a single su85 doesnt have much chance against a tiger or panther and it only needs 1 shot more to kill a su85. this is not a realistic scenario. you have to take in account army composition and where the units are placed . a single t34 a guards or a mine can swing the balance back into your favor |
