I'm going to repeat this all over again. 221 and the 223 are the same vehicle functionally, you do not spawn a new one by upgrading it, so I don't care which one specifically generates resources and which one doesn't. 6pounder/ZiS > M1 ATG PTRS are better at dealing with LVs because they cannot miss them, and fire faster. PIATs are trash but UKF have linear teching which means they will always have access to a ATG unlike Soviets. Saying that the Kubel MG34 has inferior DPS to the MG42 on the 221 shows that you don't actually play this game, especially since it has the same effective DPS as a Ober squad without ever having to get in close range unlike the 221.By the time a 221 comes out, you can tech up shortly afterwards Lieu with handheld AT. There is no such answer for USF if a Kubel is the first thing they see. In: COH2 Balance

What make you think that 221 is not meant to fight in the early stages of the game the same way micro are meant to fight? Lowering the XP value of 221 was a change in the right direction and its XP value is still higher of that of the M20. If you have so much trouble vs super light with USF you can simply equip AT to your RE. USF has cheap at access to AT with tech cost of 150/15 (less than a 221) 50 mu. Another trash vipper post, to be expected. It literally is a utility unit, resource generation+free sight with vet.Why should a faction with more vet-bonuses get buffs that make it easier to gain that same vet? The point of OKW was to have expensive, relatively fragile(most) units that pay-off later in the match provided you have good unit conservation. There shouldn't be buffs that make it easier to for these units to get vet. By the time you sidetech weapons racks and have enough muni to fight off a kubel with zooks, you have already been pushed off the map and lost the game.You have 5000+ matches in this game yet you still don't know jack shit about it lmfao. SOV/UKF have much easier access to AT that is also superior to USF AT. PTRS>zooks early game If you don't go T1 SOV you will have to build T2 and have access to ZiS UKF have access to an ATG through their linear teching Kubel is also a debatably better combat wise than a 221, since it also meshes extremely well with Sturms. On the other hand it quickly loses its place to paks and scotts. Whenever I am forced to get a USF mortar, I never feel like: "this is a worthwhile investment". It's more like: "fucking axis building straight MGs, now I have to build this crap and take up my popcap instead of waiting for something useful". But for the M1 to be viable it would have to have superior stats to the other mortars, which it doesn't, or some useful ability like the mortar flare of the PM, but it doesn't have that either. It's only useful as a last resort, and by the time all the players have solidified their army compositions with support weapons, by which point indirect fire would be useful, the M1 gets outclassed by all the other US indirects.Building a M1 within the first 7 minutes directly interferes with US build orders without offering up any real impact. They have vision so they can see you coming, have camo and they have sprint. All Soviet SMG squads are bad choices aside from AssG as they are a mixed model squad and retain around 75% of their DPS when dropping models but that locks you into shitty commanders. USF have the same issue, you will bleed on approach. The best counter is commandos as they can move in close without being detected and can leverage small squad weakness to nades. Tightrope won a 1v1 match against a JLI/Volks blobber using PPSH Cons, but to be fair the OKW's micro was lagging, he didn't use Volksgrens as meatshields/bodyguards for the JLI so they could pull back using sprint to restart the engagement.Instead he always had his JLI stand their ground close range up against the PPSH cons and lost several engagements in a row as a result. They literally do, they're quite prone to repeatedly volley fire-sniping models from mid range, let alone up close.Only drawback is the every squad with Gren/Ober Kar98 has small squad size.Cons with 6 Kar98 would be even stronger than they are currently. The allies(specifically UKF and USF) lack crucial tools(nondoctrinal rocket arty, nondoc stock mobile mortar for the UKF although the MP is in some ways better, both UKF and USF lack heavy TDs despite producing heavy breakthrough vehicles to assault the Siegfried Line, USF has no direct counter snipers and has no sniper of it's own, also gets raped early game by a Kubel etc. At this point, in the game's history it's less about Axis being OP and more allies just lacking certain tools to stay competitive.This is also from a 3v3 POV, as 1v1 is much more balanced as it's much more risky to use certain units that tip the balance into the Axis' favour such as Ele/Jagd.KT is still viable in 1v1 though and extremely strong due to it's vet abilities/doctrinal upgrades plus the fact that there's just less AT to go around for the KT to be threatened. ST armor isn't even very high, it's close to a OKW P4, but it has the same if not more HP than the Churchill vetted.I had a match a year or more ago on Rails and Metal before the ST projectile collision patch was released, and even then it was busted with it's sight wiping at least 5 of my squads, racking up 55+ kills and my SU85 barely if ever spotting it before it fired off a nuke. IMO ISU was just never that strong, Ele and Jagd can always turn the tide of a match into the favour of the Axis, but the ISU will not be able to make up the difference most of the time if you aren't already winning, especially with it's unfavourable matchup against the former two.It's AT potential is roughly equal to a single SU85, and that's ridiculous.
