I don't think anything got spotted. And that basically means there is nothing to spot since its really easy to go thorough all implemented bulletins now. |
Man I wish your first option worked in higher lvl play. I tried this tactic only to find out Bofors has attack ground. GG right then and there on semoskiy, now a permanent veto.
I'm not a top player by any means but wasn't it already stated many times by most top players that cancer is perfectly counterable and not even often used in their part of ladder? |
I think that attack vehicles button should be removed from all units. Instead, all primarly AT units including tank destroyers, AT guns and AT infantry (every model picks its own target so its possible without loosing AI) should shoot only at vehicles by default. The only option to shoot at infantry with dedicated AT weapon should be attack ground.
As a counterweight, all these weapons should get normal AoE, like all other tanks and guns do. That way if you can spare micro on manually shooting with an AT gun you can kill some attacking soldiers with it but if you are busy on the other part of the map it won't fire useless shells on infantry but try to pick the vehicles. It will also reduce random snipes to 0, every snipe done with AT weapon would be a showcase of mixture of some luck and a lot more micro and skill, instead of just tremendous luck like in current version.
I also confess that I have thought about it taking realism in consideration, current TDs and AT guns shooting their 75mm guns under the feet of a soldier and doing completely nothing look just stupid, why would anybody shoot at infantry with an AP round?
Oh and btw exactly in the same way all AI units, especially snipers should never shoot at any vehicle without a direct command. Soldiers shooting at a tank with their rifles instead of hiding behind the nearest cover look like dumasses. Becouse these units have no attack ground command they could still get the ability to shoot at vehicle you like by right clicking on it. |
Is that a Panzerwerfer mounted on top of a captured T34??
Its a standard Maultier. Look closer at what looks like tank turret, its actually only a plate at the back of Maultier cabin in its Panzerwerfer version. |
Funnily I've read that the Sherman's stabilizer realistically would more help keep the gun pointed toward the target before stopping to fire accurately instead of actually firing on the move, which all of the game's tanks are basically capable of already
Yeah, normally any tank would stop to fire just becouse shooting main gun of a tank is a big bang and if by any chance your tank wasn't spotted you have much more chance to survive shooting only to hit, not just shooting around like tanks in coh2. They also had very limited ammunition reserves. On the other the stabilizer may have not allowed for shooting and hitting on the move but if you did shoot on the move you had much greater chance to hit somewhere near target than other tanks. In fact, coh2 stats can be read in the same way in this case - even with the .75 its usually better to stop a tank, just not always the player has the micro that is needed for it. |
This is actually the tiny bit of historical accurancy in the game, tanks that have higher on the move accurancy, namely sherman variants and comet were the ones that used gun stabilisers during ww2. This is one of inventions germans never thought of so german tanks didn't use stabilisers and had worse accurancy on the move, to the point that real tankers actually shot on the move only in very rare cases. I guess relic decides to add a little fun historical polish to sherman with that stat. |
It may be compatibility problem. Your gear looks pretty extraordinary and last 2 patches relic released were adressing problems with loading the game on some hardware configuartions. They could mess up compatibility with yours in the process.
Becouse of how rare your cpu is in gaming pc's relic devs may not even know about the problem. Try making a thread in bug section, this is the one relic employees read most often. |

Ill be honest with you man, 1v1 ostheer is just fine and is actually consider the most balance faction out of the lot with good units in every category.
I suspect the reason why people feel like this is because its OP features have been rebalance and as a result now forces them to be extra mindful about their approach
Exactly, people say the faction is UP becouse there is no OP unit that clearly stands out so you can abuse it. Instead imballancing ostheer becouse community is bored they should rather ballance OP and UP units of other factions so that there is no weak spot for abusers in all factions. The only thing that needs touching about ostheer is the their commanders, many of them happen to underperform. |
*And T3 is only good versus USF and Soviets.
That is okay. That Ostheer doesn´t get a reward for not having the initiative for the whole early and mid game is what´s wrong. They were designed to hold out until the lategame to come back. Now they are passive and outmatched lategame.
The problem here is that they released another late game faction, the british. Ostheer is still ballanced in the way you describe against soviets and usf. Too many changes would break this. Against brits though (that ofc, need some nerfs) wehr needs to change strategy a bit becouse in fact brits are better at late and weaker in the early game due to how powerfull and early ostheer snipers and 222 are. |
