Profanity filter ON//OFF option would make everyone happy, I guess.
+1. I would also add global chat ON/OFF option. I actually see no reason, apart maybe gl hf, to use global chat. Only purpose it serves is giving me a chance to read how gardenning pudding I am when I win a game. Team chat is usefull though.
Btw I wonder if filtering is applied on the side of message sender, reciver, or server side. |
Tiger is right now the most fragile axis heavy, so it usually faces too much AT in the middle of frontline. It still is faster than, say, KT and has great firepower. You can use it against infantry - its one of the best wiping machines in whole game, or against mediums like shermans, e8 or t34-85, due to superior range tiger can deal with multiple of them quite easily. Range also makes it easier for a tiger to fight TDs, but you have to watch out, too many of them can screw you up.
Good speed for a heavy and firepower make it to be pretty good at flanking, if you can recon to make sure you are not overextending too much, you can assure that any vehicle, infantry or AT gun formation flanked by a tiger is dead one.
Also remember to use stop before shooting while playing with tiger. It hits pretty much dead where it aims if it is static so this hugely increses chances of wiping something, for example an AT gun. Small scatter makes it pretty good at attacking ground, for example through smoke or hedges, too.
Oh, and don't forget to spot for it, its range is almost of a TD and that's worth using. Infantry in front of a tank or vet 3 222 behind it should do the job. |
It should be kept as is, the more mind games in game the more interesting it becomes. |
"Elite" infantry is a combat unit that performs (much) better versus it's standard counterpart. I think that "Elite" infantry is what you get either from late-game buildings/structures or commanders.
If Obers cost 400 MP and Falls cost 440 -> I really recommend them to be better than an average USF Riflemen or UKF standard Section/RE.
Or if Shock Troops cost 390 MP and Guards cost 330 -> I again really recommend them to be better than a standard Pgren or Gren squad
Because if Obers would perform exactly as Cons, why the heck would you invest in a MP heavy unit that can't even outclass a cheapass squad?
I'm not an expert but that's just my opinion.
Then ask yourself why you invest in stormtroopers. Either you invest in them for buidling spawn, camo and ridiculous ability they get with stg upgrade or you shouldn't invest in them at all. |
Guys, they are gardening canadians. What did you expect? |
Their stg upgrade also melts every squad, including shocks in a matter of second. |
Problem is heavy tank bulletins make no sense. It is simply better to use bulletins on units that are used through the whole game like basic infantry instead. You may never even build that heavy if your infantry isn't strong enough. And if it is you may not even need to. Unless the bulletin completely breaks ballance every heavy tank bulletin simply makes no sense to be used. And if there was one that broke ballance, it would have to be removed. |
KV-2 commander was one of the most popular soviet non-meta commanders during ESL. Can't be that bad. |
Well, why not to make it "Gustav"? You know, sometimes it says that "Schwerer Gustav is ready to fire", when ability becomes ready to use, so... who knows.
Anyway, I think V1-like offmap stirke would be way more useful for breaking defensive lines, than those pathetic and inaccurate 3 shots. Specially for that count of ammo, which you need to spend on it.
They should probably remove this line. The effects and size of a shell are rather the ones of 280mm Kanone 5 and this is also much more probable gun as support for frontline. It was widely used during whole war, while gustav was used only once and without success, it was simply to big to easily move around the front and needed a lot of work to fire every single shell, while Kanone 5 could be simply driven to a place where it could fire, often without disassembly and start firing.
Also gustav was used only in the siege of Sevastopol, in 1942. The game is placed around 1944-45 so there is no chance this is gustav, taking that into consideration, the line about gustav is simply a mistake. |
I agree that railway artillery is mostly useless now, but you might as well just replace it with the Stuck dive bomb ability since it's pretty much as described here.
It is a little different but in fact current railway arty can be often used as substitute of stuka dive bomb. Just like bomb you can use it to insta-kill static artillery (first shot always goes dead middle) or cross blobs retreat path. It doesn't neutralise capture point but due to long time it takes to go down with all its shells it can be used as great area denial tool stopping opponent from capturing your point or going through narrow (or actually not even that narrow) pass with his units. Aditionally, it is also often worth to use in micro-management heavy tank battles, opponent often will ignore it if he is really busy outmicroing your tanks and it can deal good damage against vehicles if it hits. |
