This system has made HUGE profit both for steam and for creative users, I've read around $1.5 million. Steam is probably willing to expand this system, if so it's up to Relic to decide whether or not they can spend the man power on that.
If they do, there are gonna be A LOT of new skins, decals or even victory strikes made by community. |

I thought those German Crosses were the actual decals (I don't pay attention in game). But if you thought those "Ammo boxes" are the decals, you clearly don't know what a decal is.
Simply put, decal is something like a texture, which is put on another texture, not an actual polygon model. |
Doctrinal counters to a non-doctrinal tank.
IMO, nothing wrong with this if you consider the game design. Soviets are designed to rely on their commanders. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just saying you can consider a doctrinal unit a hard and necessary counter for some non-doctrinal units. Although, this "heavy reliance" has made the call-in meta so viable. |
Well, wait no more! Here's a (whining?) post from an objective(optimistic?) player.
We have no clue how this will be implemented, it has the potential to be completely broken. Chances are, based on this forums history, everyone is overreacting due to a lack of information from Relic and their previous track record. It looks like abilities will be placed in categories based on strength, and players will be able to mix and match from there, which doesn't strike me as all that much different from how Relic comes up with them.
You know what these "______ will kill the game" posts remind me of? Grandparents saying that the troubled youth will be the downfall of man. Every generation of adults since the dawn of time has lamented the youth and how they are ruining the world, and guess what, the world keeps on turning. How about you guys all take a collective chill tranquilizer (a pill won't cut it) and wait to see how this is implemented before we freak out.
Hah. The generation thing was nice. The problem with most people-not only regarding this game-is that they don't know what they are hating/contradicting. I bet a lot of people here have not read the entire OP, and do not now about different tiers for abilities.
I'm not saying this thing will break/revive the game, I'm just saying you have to know every aspect of something before hating or praising it. |

And Soviets get doctrinal crew repair that fix the entire tank for 40(?) munitions.
My favorite is Conscript repair package. 2-3 squads repair a 1 HP ISU in like 10 seconds. |
Good ideas. I'm not against blobbing itself, my point was more that I'm not in favor of having ultimate blobs that can wreck tanks and infantry with high efficiency like the axis blobs can. Tanks should be the counter to infantry. AT infantry should be able to competently counter light vehicles, not medium and heavies.
Nerf shreks and decrease the price, buff raketen and then blob all you want.
With the stated changes, M2HMG becomes very powerful and can effectively suppress the axis AT blob, so you can bring in your Shermans to finish them off. Although OKW balance has been discussed in other threads and there are a lot of feasible ideas. |
Also to add to that list is suppression from mines. Dont know why that was left out from coh1.
As mentioned in my post, infantry reactions were more or less like explosion suppression, but you are right, I will add it to the list. |
