The ram change is honestly a great idea. You're not gonna try to ram a with T34 without expecting it to die anyway.
This is a stupid ability. Let's now make it so that other units that have a stun ability require 50% HP - the British sniper cannot shoot or AEC cannot shoot without 50%, and so on. See? How ridiculous it is. The ability must be simple, or it is there or not, without any buts. Let's stop playing Dr. Frankenstein and sneer at the dead ability. |
Be calm friends, don't attack the balance team in every thing u think that it is wrong, balancing is not an easy task, instead just say your ideas and opinions to help them , and hopefully they will make the right changes for balancing this great game.
Do they hear? T-34s have long been in need of reworking. We've been talking about this for several years now. Instead of throwing out Ram and giving the T-34 really useful abilities, this ability is already being masturbated to V 3.0. |
I read the 3.0 patch notes here. And they still shove the stupid ramming ability instead of doing a serious rework of the T-34-76 and T-34-85. You know, fuck it. If this is will a living change, I will not play it. |
Alternatively you could make your own custom settings and keep these terrible "features", if they get removed by the balance team. Don't disturb others who want the game to improve.
Great, improvers. Continue in the same spirit. |
These over exaggerations are utterly useless. What is the argument here?
Nobody playing this game is seriously debating to remove all RNG. You're trying to throw people into your premade "opinion baskets" by implying things they actually never said. With the same reason I could say you should go play slot machines because apparently you like RNG so much it should be the only reason that determines the outcome of a match (see the fake quote above).
Obviously this argument is bullshit.
The only question is: Is there enough influence the player(s) can take on the outcome of RNG to be in control of what happens?
Main gun crits are to a lesser extend controllable, yes. But the outcome can often be game deciding, especially if you just entered mid game and this is the first tank on the field. They are also not reliable. You are good to go 90% of the time, but 10% of the time it screws you (or your opponent) over. Which makes it also different from the "normal" RNG of accuracy and penetration rolls: These are always the same. Every player knows what his odds are in a certain situation. Hitting but not penning 10 times might happen, but these events are very low. Also these rolls are frequent enough to usually even things out over the course of a match. A main gun crit occurs once, maybe twice a match. They can barely even out at all.
I am absolutely fine with the RNG, absolutely fine with critical strikes, with the plane crash on my infantry units. Absolutely fine as it was. And my opinion is simple, if someone doesn't like it, make custom settings - a game without all this is like a historical skin. Do not disturb others who are enjoying it fully, as it is. |
So far all the arguments "For" main gun crits have relied on apples-to-oranges comparisons, or some strange argument that "Some people like them so you can't remove them because they'll leave the game!", as though Main Gun Crits are the only thing that makes people play CoH2.
It's a little egregious when these people are also insisting anti-MGC parties "Have no arguments".
If you don't like it, go play chess. There is perfect balance and no critical damage. Do not go where you are not asked, the game is fine. Critical damage has been in this game for seven years. Let's delete them because you don't like them, let's further castrate the game. |
Just do a separate game mode or customization. Like historical skins. For those people who don't like the original CoH2, let them play in a sterile castrated vacuum. I love the game since it was created. And I do not want that for such people I would not get pleasure. |
If the damn battering ram remains on the 1st veterancy, I will also follow the example of people who think that "some people make the game for themselves." This ability is ridiculous, and even more ridiculous on the first veterancy. If this ability remains, I consider it the most mentally challenged decision of this lousy 2020. |
The fact that this t34 suggestion thread sprang out of ram being demo charged out of the game means that the t34 isn't filling its role- unless that role is diesel powered torpedo.
I agree that it should not be going toe to toe with other generalists but it should serve some purpose in aiding late game.
Which one? All roles are taken. And there is simply no place for the T-34 in the game. Not for his performance, not for his role. The only role available to him now is the kamikaze. I would use the T-34 if it was a Sherman / Cromwell universal tank. I would take a "Ram" with the 1st level of veterancy if it was a crush of guns, even if for ammunition. It is really useful and unique. I would take a flanking role, but then give him fire and maneuver for a quick approach and access to the rear armor, because T-34 penetration sucks. |
That's a point, but on Ostfront that wasn't really needed, because a tank didn't operated alone, if so infantry was nearby.
Now see the tactics "Anti-tank strong point". Which the Soviets began to use this means that anti-tank guns do not stand in one line as it was at the beginning of the war. And they are grouped. Each strong point had about 20 cannons. The distance between the strong point is 600 meters. That is, the guns shoot at the side of the tanks, which means the Germans themselves shot in the leg, making themselves more vulnerable to flanking fire due to poor visibility. And now another question. Why do you need side skirts? Suddenly, because of the side fire of AT rifle, or flank fire does not exist? |
