Please Relic no unhistoric skins. You know, there are SOOOOO many historic skins that werhaboos and WW2 fans will buy in record speed and give you money.
This doesn't make sense economically or in terms of games.
Relic, you're not "out of" skins, its not hard to find any kind of camoflauge patterns. Here I will give some ideas:
* Netting for Panzer IV
* Netting for Sherman
* Desert skin for infantry
* Winter coats for infantry
* Rangers with netting on helmet
* Grenadiers with the hat
* Grenadiers with the helmet
Or look at Hell Let Loose, they make money from those skins for infantry.
* Medics with white helmet
* Medics with normal helmet
Exactly. Сan make a ton of historical skins. But need to make the game not only World of Tanks by filling in the design / balance gap in the game with the Black Prince, but now also make the Rainbow Six game when turn a serious themed game about special forces into clown outfits.
Strategy in the Command and Conquer style. There will be three factions in the game. Developer: Slipgate Ironworks, Publisher: THQ Nordic, 3D Realms. I don’t know how the game will be, but the soundtrack in the trailer is amazing.
Assuming Relic keeps their word, it would be 60€ for four factions and two campaigns, thats way more content on launch than ever before. If you think 60 bucks is too much for that then I really don't know what to tell you.
It gives me the impression of you being this type of player that never wants to spend more than 20€ on any game on this planet ever, even if it's Rockstar Games levels of quality and even if you get thousands of hours of content from it
What I see so far this is not a level AAA game that requires 60-70 euros. If the campaign in Italy were a really high quality Campaign with cutscenes and unique missions and not a Skyrmish set, then we could safely talk about 2 campaigns, 4 factions. But so far I see no reason for such a price tag. Jeez, yes, there will not even be an Italian side in the game, although the whole meaning of the choice of Italy is in the Italian faction.
I disagree with the notion of Penals not being "honorable", from what I have gathered there were two types of "Penal" units; well-armed and professional NCOs that are given a second chance to serve and earn their freedom through blood, and "tramplers"-poorly armed and trained infantry meant to clear minefields and other suicidal duties.
Penals in COH2 seem to be the former since they are better armed and professional soldiers, willing to lay down their lives so that their debts to the USSR are paid back in blood.That seems honorable to me.
Regarding veterancy, the most important veterancy bonuses for Grens/Obers arrive at Vet2 instead of them being spread out you get a flat 40% accuracy bonus that completely turn most engagements on their head.This is partially why SOV struggles midgame due to no weapon upgrades available at that time (except DP28 for guards).
Either the effect of To The Last Man should be strengthened by 2% for each bonus, or Penals should receive better moving accuracy with vet, seeing as how they aren't winning long range vs axis inf
The penal unit as the main unit does not make sense for two reasons: both variants of the penal unit were armed like a regular infantry unit. 1,24% of all soldiers who served in the Red Army during the war served in penal units.
I agree that Penals have no place in T1 and as main infantry: Replace Penals with Guard - take SVT-40 from Penals, give SVT-40 to Conscripts as an upgrade - take the "merge" from Conscripts - rename Conscripts to Strelki (Riflemans) - move Penals to the place of Guard in commanders - give "merge" to new Penalty
I mean, sure dude. That discussion is a little bit deeper than my post calls for.
Not disagreeing or what not, but my concerns with the state of CoH3 is less wokeness and more greed and lelic/sega management not learning from their fuck ups.
It seems INSANE what they are willing to show, like who the F did give the go-ahead for that dumb nonsense african theater trailer, and thought "Our CGI looks good enough to be next to liveaction." ???
Besides that all the PR talk about the same shit which really nobody cares that much about. Singleplayer enjoyers will buy the game no matter what if they are into WW2 games, and the people who they actually have to win over aka the MP crowd, they bore them to death with "Narrative" "Dynamic Campaign" and the god damn "tactical pause".
Also 60€ price tag, are you shitting me?
You know what made me laugh? A statement that they have shown research for greater historical accuracy. Hmm .. somewhere I have already heard this. Oh yes, from Quinn Duffy on how CoH2 will be historically accurate and how the developers from Relic traveled to St. Petersburg with the military museum with Quinn Duffy. The end result is a cheap and boring Enemy at Gate style game. I already gave an example with the Mtsensk mission, taking a real story and investing a little more money, you could make just a great game.
Apparently the marketers at Relic haven't learned from their failures.
I know it doesn't realistically work, but I was really hoping for a more post-ww2 coh3 with M48 and leopard 1s against T-62s and T-64s. Then we give glorious USA M1A2
And add more Space Marines to the game. We all know that Germany created Space Marines in World War II.
I've always been against the BP being in the game, but seems it's here to stay. Idk, take it up with Relic, as you said, "Its opened the door for all sorts of nonsense."
I just want my Obers in COH3 \o\
While the game is not yet released, it is not too late to leave this thorny path and remove the Black Prince from the game.
If Relic decides to make the Eastern Front DLC. I will insist that the USSR get the T-44, IS-3, ZSU-37, AS-44 assault rifle, RD-44 machine gun, SKS and RPG-1 into the game. All this was already either as a prototype or was produced but was not used in the war. Britain has a Black Prince why can't the USSR get all this?! I want it immediately!!
Because it's a very very heavy slow brick that'll get stomped by a Tiger?
Ah, and there's another argument here: reality ≠ balance and the game might be viable. And in general, Britain in the game has a prototype from 1945 in Africa 1942-1943. We also want a cool wunderwaffe for our faction. Give it to us now!
the M6 had the M7 cannon, which was installed on the M10 destroyer tank, and in terms of armor penetration it was quite a good cannon comparable to the penetration of the 88 Tiger cannon. But in general, it was a terrible tank and therefore it did not get to the front, although 40 tanks were produced.
