P4 still does it better . and better yet still the p4 can be used in every single situation. in fact i find it a bit strange people consider the stug to be the tier 3 killer because its actually very vulnerable to fast medium tanks like the t-34. Right now the stug's only worth is that it can destroy the kv1's but that's about it. Current meta involves calling in heavy tanks at 9 cp mark. that's around tier 3 and so skip it and go straight for tiger's or the p4 support tank+ elefant In: COH2 Balance

A good player can kite tigers with their SU-85s and force them to retreat or leave. or destroy them. That is no longer possible. you need to sight at least 1 su-85 for kiting making it death meat to 2 tigers. if they don't use sighting then you simply will not see the tigers and heaven help you if they have vet 1. Of all the german tanks i feel that the tiger is best AI tank out their safe for the ostwind. High ROF and mg42 allows it to shew through the larger soviets squads. if your looking for an unit that can one shot a soviet squad then you will not find it ostheer arsenal. @Volsky I agree panthers are awesome AT tanks but current meta doesn't support them in 1 vs 1 battles. indeed its practical suicide ot go tier 4 these days. The first is point click profit while the latter requires quite some micro and preparation. Bingo. you need Combined arms , you need strategic insight , good micro and scouting just to make your attack succeed. what do the soviets need to counter your attack? T-34 spam. You don't find that a problem ferrozoica that you can simply use a one tank to win every single tank battle. That the soviets do not need combined arms planning or scouting? As someone who has played SC2 professionally, it is an incredibly complex game strategically (in that respect superior to vCOH), but an inferior game tactically compared to vCOH. There is much deep thinking involved in SC2 to makeg strategic decisions that the casual viewer will never see or understand. I actually think COH is a better spectator sport than SC2 because of this, because tactical decisions are much easier to see as a viewer. Yes i played to diamond level myself. And i was like a machine as i learned to multitask. did i need complex strategies? not really. the problem with that game was their certain builds you could do with the varied races. once you knew all the builds you and its counters you knew all the strats. All you need to do is cover your tanks with Gren squads and your heavies should never get rammed, ever. Also, teller mines are your friend I only need to use one katusha to remove the grens. If you know your opponent is spamming T-34s then you shouldn't invest in big heavy tanks apart from the Elefant (as this tank can snipe from the rear) that could get knocked out. Instead counter with a variety of units be that paks, pgs with shreks and medium tanks like stugs or p4s and use the stun ability as soon as you see the ram happening. Also a few tellers would not go amiss. I don't disagree that these units are not effective BUT only on the defensive. What your suggesting will take out all the offensive punch out of the german armor. Not to mention that with som support from other units your counters will be countered. paks and shreks? buy a Katusha , tier 3 units? just use guards in support or just spam t-34 because right now they are able to overwhelm both the the p4 and stug. Your suggesting that one unit can counter infantry ,vehicles, medium tanks and heavy tanks . that's why the current ram is balanced . it can still mess up a tiger elephant or panther but at least the t-34's have a chance of defeating such units. it should be high risk or an all else have failed ability and not a counter. if i put a p4 against is-2's or kv1 i will not complain they are defeated. This suggestion would not only make the soviets completely OP but also would make the game boring as hell as no German player would ever use tier 3 or 4 ever again. In: COH2 Balance
