Anyway it's the fault of the Ostheer player by putting his tanks in ramming distance and therefore he should pay for it. Also for your information the t-34 was nerfed recently as well with the new scatter changes making it much less likely to hit targets on the move. Furthermore the other counters to the t-34 have been made cheaper such as the pak down from 360 manpower to 320. As for losing your respect I couldn't care less. I disagree.The proposal makes the German heavies to easy to counter with a generalist medium tank. It will lead to spam of t-34's and the Germans being permanently stuck on tier 2 . i say no thank you for that. You can say all you want that the germans should not put their tanks in vulnerable position but that means you can no longer use the brumbar or the tiger. The elephant shall need atrocious amount of support and using flank attacks with the panther can no longer happen if even one t-34 is on the field. Also for your information the German tanks where hit harder by the scatter nerf then the soviets tanks, especially the p4. In: COH2 Balance

Different strokes for different folks. I play RTS games as a pure test of skill. I like the general gameplay of this game, but the RNG takes away from skill. I say it increases the need for skill. you get a lot of unexpected situations that forces you to adept. Want play SC2 simply memorize your build order and that's. SC2 requires no strategy beyond that and micro. In: COH2 Balance

When you beat your opponent you want to know you did it through your own ability not by some random role on a dice. As for you comments about ram I think that what they should do is this: -Rear hit should destroy the engine 100% + stun the crew. -Side Rams should either destroy the main gun + stun the crew or give engine damage + stun the crew -Front Rams should destroy the main gun + stun the crew but not do too much damage to the tank other than that. Oh you just lost a shitload of respect from me. No way they should return an ability to full status that allowed the soviets to spam on type of tank over and over again. And with the thought the t-34 got some considerable buffs as well as soviet industry in mind i think you are obviously high. That said i believe that some OS potential of some units should be reduced especially soviet mortars and mines. But RNG defines coh and forces you to adjust to an unexpected situation. However, spamming t0-t1 units until call in tanks can be done with the Elite troops doctrine. I believe giving a motar vet 3 in the early game is ridiculously powerful. SI works better on bigger maps for sure, where 4 scripts can hold their own long enough for T70s to come out. Its not that they have powerful abilities its simply they don't fit in the current meta. So both are right now are not OP in my opinion as their several doctrines like guard motor and lighting war doctrine that perform better during the whole game. In: COH2 Balance

They are still ridiculously OP. Besides those two ridiculous commanders, the balance is quite decent. I dont agree with this. current meta involves spamming shocks for the soviets and grens for the germans . then wait till you get enough cp to call in the heavy tanks which is very similar to VCOH where both the wehr and ami's waited until they got the Pershing/tiger. If you take soviet industry their is a very high chance you will be pushed of the map early game. Elite infantry simply cannot compete with the soviets economically mid game as the soviets buy tier 3/4 and spam kv1/t34-85/kv8/is-2. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Germans are bad28 Dec 2013, 01:25 AM Their are current 2 problems for the germans. one the recent double scatter on the move penalty has hit the p4 the hardest of all medium tanks out their. from my perspective tier 3 of the germans right is looking very bad indeed. this causes some problems with soviet t-34 as the germans have no good units to cost effectively counter t-34's Second is the CP change which is blatant favor for the soviets as they have far more call ins then the germans. people right now skip tier 3-4 and are hoarding fuel for kv-1 or t34-85. and these units right now can arrive more quickly now then the german tier 3. And if we talk about 1944 period Red Army was widely using T34-85 Anyway, this topic is about T34 in game. Here is my opinion. It was bad before patch now it's even worse. Both t34 and p4 have to be the same in price and performance so the result of tank battles would rely on players skills. The Germans never attacked the front armor but its weak spot or strafed it and of the 2200 t-34 destroyed in 1941 half of them where caused by the p3 with a 50 mm. Like most people you only look to the armor and gun size and judge the t-34 a good tank never looking at the human component. if you ever been in one you realize what kind of deathtrap it is. you can barely move and see inside a t-34 and even the t-34/85 had this problem which made both the Sherman and the p4 a far better tank then the any of the t-34 series. And with this history lesson over i say that the t-34 and p4 matchup is balanced. t-34 is a better AI tank the p4 for more cost is a better AT tank. however the last patch pushed me into using stugs as i find the scatter penalty to severe for to be using generalist or AI tanks . Germans were totally shocked when T-34 was first introduced on the battlefield in June 1941. The only reason red army has lost tank battles in 1941 was extremely poor and disorganized supply chain - tanks running out of fuel and ammo, etc Prove if I'm wrong. Its a bit of a myth that the t-34 where only destroyed because of the poor use of the t-34 because the t-34 had rather crippling weaknesses when it comes to ergonomics and optics. the result was that in tank battles 1941 the majority of t-34 kills was actually done by the p3 with the long 50 mm gun that exploited the weaknesses of the t-34. In my opinion the t-34 was in general a piece of shit and was a war losing tank. if Hitler was only slightly smarter and and for example converted the entire German economy to a war economy in 1937 the soviets would would not be able to suffer such casualties as they had without losing the war. Reason: I don't think a non-doctrinal medium tank that can't fight tanks at all is good at the game. Like, it's alright for the Pz 4 to outdamage the T-34-76 but for the T-34-76 to not penn the Pz 4 frontally or do no damage to it even 6/10 times just seems wrong gameplay wise and historically. I mean, the unupgunned sherman could still penn the Pz 4 frontally in VCOH most of the time. Why can't this be done in COH2? Its not done because the sherman in VCOH was more expensive then the p4. you suggest that a tank which is cheaper then the p4 should have a very good chance at winning which is of course is pretty messed up balance idea. Historically its also correct. the p4 at this stage was equipped with 80 mm frontal armor and a gun that could destroy the t-34/76 at any combat range while the t-34 could only kill the p4 at point blank range.
