They they swapped the SU-76 to T3 (preferably swap places with T-70), that'd bring back some of the Infantry Tank + Tank Destroy dynamic, and would go a long way to making Soviet late-game feel good.
That is not going to happen any time soon. The reason soviets have a large amount of call ins is ad to tier 3 or 4. if you tier 4 better take an AI commander go tier 3 better stick to guards then.

i could, that means a delayed kv2.
im not sure how to sustain reinforcements once the passive kicks in, especially with penals and maxims who are likely to take huge casualties for every casualty they do.
im more concerned about the infantry that were invested early, since they will be generally unsustainable once the passive kicks in.
As I said before if you specialise only in AI you are in trouble when the Germans start pumping out panthers or tigers. ram may safe your behind from time to time but most matches will end in a loss.

AI is at 9 cp, stall until then?
Their are still maxims snipers and penals for ai purposes |
true, but this is kinda maddening.
t34 is effective now because they came so early and there wasnt really an effective counter, not because they were good at what they did. they are still the most micro intensive tank because of their filmsy armour and kinda worthless main gun.
now they are pushed back the timing where they are the most useless, which is on par with their counters paks/stugs/p4. combine that with the scatter nerf, they are situational against infantry, requires large amount of support before they can hit anything and they still cannot deal with any armour when stugs and panzer4 outgun/outarmour them.
so relic is pretty much forcing a more infantry based early game for soviets industry, yet are not doing anything to mitigate the incapabilities for industry to support a sizeable infantry force.
i may be only theory crafting, but i see industry tactics to be unsustainable once the patch kicks in.
Why dont you go to tier 4 then mate? soviet industry is equipped with awesome AI tanks so complement them with AT tanks. |
not sure how this will work out, at 3cp means t34 comes at more or less normal timing. what will happen to all the infantry already invested early to get map control? suddenly invalidated and unable to reinforce?
also, if t34/76 are not changed in anyway and coming in same timing as the p4, whats the point? they lose out 1v1. swarms of them are gonna be scrap metal against stugs and paks that are way out earlier.
Thats what was the problem. the t-34 or t-70 appeared before any decent counter appeared. on maps where the pak is nearly useless like the road to karkov this doctrine was nearly an instant win. |
Yeah early beta was all kinds of unbalanced. I still to this day do not understand how they thought putting that behemoth in T4 was going to be anywhere near balancable. Luckely they realized their mistake early on.
perhaps but the elefant back then did only 160 damage a shot. Current tier 3 is not worth it. both the stug and p4 are not performing for cost and ostwind while good can easily be replaced with the brumbar. in short tier 4 offers far more usefull units then tier 3. |
Absolutely nothing got changed recently about them.
You've just discovered they aren't even half as bad as the whiners make it seem.
Their are still plenty of vids thats shows script attacking a mg42 head and throwing a molotov grenade. they are bad and most likekly this mg42 was vetted

Soviet Industry
· Soviet Industry CP cost from 0 to 3
· Soviet Industry no longer modifies base structure build time
Good. it was simply atrocious on some maps. and could easily double the fuel income of the soviet player |
And to compensate that and bring it in line with other mine build time what will give you to all other mines? 2-3 second build time?
You seem to be forgetting that german mine field places 8+ minses, not a single one.
40 seconds build time was one of the main reason these mines where performing badly and where up. |
If the T34's ram has been nerfed to high hell and beyond (unless blessed by the RNG gods), it doesn't make any sense the Blitzkrieg ability doesn't overheat after use. Every ability is a gamble and has a caveat, a explosive can miss, focus slows SU85 down; Blitzkrieg NEEDS to overheat after use. It's the only active non-passive unit ability that is all Pro and no Con.
in my opnion ram is not nerfed enough. seen plenty of games where oen ram turned the a battle compeletly around. for the record blitz is fine |
