Is it so hard to do the same as germans? And saying T3 should have no at? How biased can you be? Maybe to balance that, german T3 also should have short barreled P4 and StuG? Are you up for that? Then it would be balanced! You would have 3 AI vehicles in T3 for both factions and 1 AT in T4, perfectly balanced game and no ram if you ask me! All you need to do is say how much you love this idea, because its perfect for you. You need AT? You have T2 and T4 for it. Last time i checked the t-34 was completely capable of destroying tier 3 units and and visa versa its the same . what i object to however is that the very cheap t34 is capable of threatening its dedicated counter (panther , tiger) for only half the cost of said dedicated counter In: COH2 Balance

If they did remove ram then t3 is basically useless for AT. The t34-76 is already useless against tanks except assault guns, but those are a rare sight. And tier 3 should be useless as AT for the most part. It is insane to believe that a t-34 is able to completely neutralize targets that sometimes cost 3 times then the t-34 and can turn a game upside down. Not to mention soviets have plenty of commanders that can cover the lack a tier 3 or tier 4. su85's are supposed to be the main AT of the soviets. and to be honest they are way easier to use then m10's in coh that required flanking. But it still requires combined arms skill and positioning to use. no need for that with the t-34 just spam away and engage the enemy with low risk high reward attacks . and what if a ram fails? t-34 is cheap enough to easily replace it. i have won plenty of games i should not have won as the soviets and lost plenty of games as germans because of this insane ability. If the germans p4 had ram i would instantly stop using the any other tank except that one In: COH2 Balance

I imagine its frustrating for newer people to wait half the game to get a tiger just to have it rammed but at some point you'll learn to plan for this kind of things and not count on one big tank. You see some high level players getting their T-34s fausted, you simply can't just attack whenever you want with your tanks and hope for the best, keep them in background until the right moment comes. ram's at at sight range happen in 3.2 seconds last time i clocked it. and yeah high level players get fausted to they not machines. but its not a reliable counter in the slightest In: COH2 Balance

It's easy to see when your opponent is going to want to ram you, so start reversing and its engine will overheat. no it really isn't by the time ram starts you have a few seconds to respond to it You shed buckets of tears upon ram, but give ZERO suggestions as hot to solve T3 AT problem, because that is the SOLE reason why ram exists. Their is no AT problem because tier 3 should not be able to counter german heavies. panthers in vcoh could kill 3 shermans and where the epitome of dedicated AT . fireflies could do the same thing to p4's. and yet in this game some cheap ass tank is able to neutralize german tanks? its simply unbalanced In: COH2 Balance

T34 would have to be greatly buffed in AT if the ram was to be removed and penetration limit was introduced specifically to prevent certain rams on heavy tanks. Oh how cute kaitoff is defending the easy mode ability that requires no skill what so ever. listen up this tank is cheap has good ai and is severe threat to any tier 3 unit and you want it able to destroy german heavies? It doesn't need to do anything more then that for that price i would jut love to see your reaction if the stug had a similar ability and instant crippled your is2. In: COH2 Balance

Or target weak point with pak in the background. Both abilities are to slow for that to work. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ram 28 Feb 2014, 14:53 PM People i have had enough of this ability. so many times i have seen games going my way to instantly losing because of this single ability. its insane that a cheap generalist tank , that is very effective against medium tanks and infantry ,is perfectly capable of crippling a german heavy tank and deciding the game. it leads to spam as its its really a no brainer and the concept of combined arms is thrown out of the window. these days the only thing i see from the soviet players is script spam with t-34's with the occasional zis So here are some suggestions. 1. Remove ram from the t-34 and only t-34/85 should have it. 2. Or ram can no longer affect any unit with heavy crush 3. Indirectly nerf it by buffing the stug. Thought? In: COH2 Balance
