I still contend that the 120mm effectiveness is mostly a perceptive fallacy based on german smaller squad sizes, reliance on weapon teams, and confirmational bias when players witness a lucky hit. uhm no that is simply untrue and you give the reason why this is. Germans do have smaller squads and a such all AOE is more potent against them. that doesn't make it perspective fallacy but fact that the 120 mm is far mre dangerous to the german squads then the 81 mmis to the soviet squads. He's either trolling or has no clue about this game... i am trolling. you however have no clue how to balance this game. suffice to say you need to come up with better arguments why the riflenade should cease to be a counter to the maxims except that maxims should not be countered from the front while conveniently forgetting that the maxim in the hands of person with a tiny bit of micro you always be facing it from the front. On a larger view of things .You empower the maxim to point that maxim spam become completely viable again and completely wreck the early game balance. In: COH2 Balance

No other grenade has the massive range of rifle grenades which makes them a much more potent counter to MGs than any other grenade. You continually dare to compare the maxim to the mg42. stop doing that because every single issue you posted so far is not valid. the riflenade is balanced and you need to give better reasons why the riflenade is not aloud to counter the maxim. For current stats of them both their cost should be 10 and 35. Riflenade aoe wasnt buffed. it is now simply easy to see where the grenade will land and how many men will be affected by it, and the rest is nonsense, molotovs excel at cc rifles at long range that doesnt make the other better or worse, In fact comparing them is retarded. The lmg42 performs better. it does better damage and since cover actually became important the main reason to use g43's (namely mobility) have become largely redundant Regarding MHT: i think the best counter is an early T34/T70. It´s 40fuel so you should take advantage of that. If not a M3 + Guards. Thats what i love about the mht its a obnoxiously powerful support tool that can be countered by rushing armor to it. But usually leads sending your tanks to a prepared tank killing zone. you cannot imagine how many times i lured the first t-34/t70 into a teller mine with the mt-ht In: COH2 Balance

The suggestions are: 1. Prevent them from being fired while suppressed. 2. Reduce range and/or accuracy of rifle grenades if the unit firing them is suppressed. Thread: Elite Troops12 Apr 2014, 14:11 PM A fairly weak doctrine.The g43 is completely destroyed. it has less damage then the kar at longer range and lmg42 beats it easily at cc. Tiger ace? comes to late and and while powerful doesn't fit 1v1 meta anymore.As the tech cost has been increased for both factions call in tanks have a lot more going on and i rather have a normal tiger at 10 cp then a tiger ace at 14 cp not to emntion the tiger ace crippels the fuel income. That leaves instant vet as the only point of concern but im not really impressed with it not to mention you need to tech up with this doctrine so you never have an abundunce of fuel. the best german doctrines are currently spearhead and assault support. And an Mg-42 with a gren squad. Oorah molotov costs the same as the riflegrenade , however, while getting close, conscripts will take considerable damage and will lose atleast 3 crewmembers. Lets say that is 60 manpower. At best, they can kill 2 crewmembers, often , they wont kill anything. Now lets say we have a grenadier approaching a maxmim,while 1 conscript squad is gaurding it. Maxim surpresses grenadiers, and grenadiers fire rifle nade. They kill 3 men, which is 45 manpower. And grens retreat with probaly no losses ( might have lost one). So there you have it folks, that is the problem. Grenadiers can assault maxim and inflict manpower losses while losing no manpower, while soviets can assault an mg for and cause some manpower losses, but probaly taking more while doing so. Their are more options for the soviets to remove mg42's. their are no options for the germans to remove maxims. Until the maxim can be properly flanked the riflenade should stay. But sumply put both the maxim and the mg42 need a major overhaul they are both worthless In: COH2 Balance
