Its better to ask if the okw is balanced i dont find it so for reasons above. Where is the advantage for playing the okw? at this moment the ostheer does everything better. No comments. Because according to the original release media: "Brief Description: Volksgrenadiers are reformed from hardened veterans, recovering wounded and new recruits. They are potent frontline infantry for the OberKommando." Where do you read mediocre? Furthermore if OKW was meant to get their elite Inf like SU, they should be getting their Obersoldaten at 5 minutes (like Guards and Jesus troops) instead of 200 fuel into the game, where they get gibbed by tanks and rocket artillery. If marketing jargon is enough evidance for you, then I have anything to add. OKW elite infantry - Fals, Fusiliers etc. and of course Obers In: COH2 Balance

B) In Mid game, where your vet 3 volk are facing vet 3 SI they are going to be pretty outclassed. (correct me if i'm wrong but the XP requirements are about the same) I think the crux of the matter is that the bonuses from vet five should amount to at least 166% as effective in comparison to other SI. Any lower and you are just diluting the bonuses that volk receive. You can see an example of the new OKW LEFG, the bonuses from vet 5 are worse than the bonuses that the OST LeFH. Furthermore In late game when you lose squads, Allied SI have an easier time getting up to peak effectiveness because a) their max vet requires less XP, and B) they can easily be equipped with x2 bars/1919s/brens to make up for their vet 0 and to boost their XP gain. IMO Volk vet should be reverted to before they were nerfed due to shrek blob being too effective. On the other hand the rest of OKWs unit's vet 5 bonuses feel strong and rewarding. No. Only because you want Volks to be these uber soldiers with Vet5, doesn't meant Relic intended them to be. According to their OKW design philosophy you are support your mediocre basic infantry with other units like elites or vehicles. The same way Soviets do. In: COH2 Balance

My expectation: - Equal-vet T-34/85 will wipe the floor with P4 - Vet3 P4 has decent chances of beating Vet0 T-34/85 (something like 60%-40%) I need stats, where are the stats? I can't find them anymore. Vet1 doesn't change anything for T-34/85, PzIV gets blitzkrieg which gives it HUUGE advantage. Of course if you put 2 tanks opposite each other and tell them shoot each other it will not represent real game scenario. That's is why result you get from these tests have to be analysed. It is hard to show something like blitz affecting the outcome in those static tests you guys do, but trust me it does. At vet2 the gap gets even bigger because PzIV will have thicker armour, while retaining its mobility. I don't remember exactly what T-34/85 gets. Rate of fire? Accuracy? In: COH2 Balance

Like I said at Vet 0 PzIV bearly losses to T-34/85. On any other veterancy level PzIV will win. When PzIV hit Vet 2 T-34 can do sheep. I guess your tanks never last so long for you to witness this. Also, to address someone elses claim. T-34/76 costs only 80 fuel because it's a shit tank that can only somehow fight infantry. You need two for every PzIV which will net you, oh wait 160 fuel.
