Pzg are great, and stomp infantry. But they are a terrible counter to 'Shock troops' because shocks have very high armor. shocks are weak far away but devastating up close.
Countering shock troops with german infantry:
-Use HMGs.
-flamethrower pioneers
-LMG or preferably, G43 grenadiers
-if you're using elite troops, use the stun grenade.
They aren't a counter, but they do stand a chance. A lucky grenade is usually all it takes to swing the engagement in their favor. |

If that´s really true, this game is beyond any help. Just look at the German aces score and then the Russian "aces" score - that´s just beyond comparison. This game is totally moving to bullshit-land. This isn´t an early war game where a KV locked down an area - this is supposed to represent 1944.
I´m already pissed about the ram ability, more range on SU-85 and mark target which screws up tank combat. But if that´s really going to happen, I doubt I will be playing to the extend I´m doing now. It´s not only small mistakes representing the factions... it seems to move to utter shit which actually has nothing to do with WW2, except some models. Give Germans anti-tank-knives! They never existed but are needed for balance of course.
They are elite T34-85 from the Overwhelming armor doctrine leaked a couple of moths back. It was a long time ago so some things may have changed. |

Sector artillery has far more wiping power, faster, and is effective against all targets. You know why no one complains about it? Because it has a clearly outlined area of effect so it is easier to avoid.
If they added some sort of circle outlining where the strafe patrols(all strafes) then I think it would be fine, but I have no pity for people complaining about getting their squads wiped because they were stupid enough to stay in the area of a 240 muni ability. |

The thing with ram is it is the only thing allowing soviets who go for T3 to take out larger tanks. So unless you can figure out another way for T1-T3 soviets to take out Tigers and panthers ram isn't going anywhere. |
Have I missed something? Is the demanded change to move shocks back to 2cp scheduled for the next patch? 
Nothing announced no, but so far the balance team has been pretty on point about the bigger issues and I'm sure that they knew there could be some problems caused be the new CP system. |
yea germans should get Hanabu strafes at 0 cp to counter shocks. seriously though, shocks NEEDS to be changed. i dont see how anyone can think this is balanced right now.
I haven't seen a single person say that it shouldn't. It's not as if the developers are ignoring it, there just hasn't been a patch yet because of the holiday break. Nothing we can really do other then be patient and wait for the next patch. |
Just lost 2 full health vet2 pzgrens squads + pak. Not call in should be this powerful. So dumb......
Sector artillery is that strong if not stronger since it kills infantry and tanks alike, all for a similar price. The only difference is that it's aoe is more obvious so it's easier to avoid. If there is any change to be made it's the way the ability chooses it's targets, because once it chooses it will sometimes follow them outside it's AoE. |

I was just in a 4v4 and I used counter Barrage on the artillery, and boy was it effective. Took down 4 mortars, 2 SU-76s, and a katuysha in like 5 mins, all hands free.
It can really be effective on the heavier artillery pieces. Problem is it's near useless on the mortar since all it can counter is the 82mm mortar and even that you can probably do better manually since the german mortar is better. Even the heavy mortar is hard to counter with it because they are usually a bit out of range. Maybe a range increase while the ability is in use would help it out. |

So is an Ostwind but it doesn't kill half as fast. But heaven forbid Germans have an anti infantry tank that kills as well as Soviets.
