Remove the reload requirement from UKF Vickers HMG Take Aim ability to compensate for lack of power. Also, increase suppression by 20%. Currently it has 2/3rds the suppression of the MG42 and about equal damage at all ranges. Increasing suppression by 20% would bring it up to 80% suppression, making it consistent. Vet 2 suppression bonus can be removed as well.
With the plethora of wiping tools UKF faces, Vet 2 is too late for any HMG to become functional.
If you check the DPS curves, the Vickers and MG-42 have the same DPS for the first 5 units, and then a VERY MILD Vickers bonus. The only reason the Vickers seems to do more damage is because it cannot suppress anything, therefore doing full damage instead of suppressed damage. It is not a higher damage MG.

While this would fix the balance issues, I hope they'll find a different solution. Since no stats are communicated and the mechanics are fairly complex for the average player, it would be stupid to have units all work slightly differently between modes as well.
I think most issues are fixable by map design and potentially a better unit upgrade system

i disagree. the community balance team has done a decent job so far, considering the constraints they had to deal with, and hiring someone from the team goes to show that relic is willing to learn from their past mistakes. that alone gives me hope that the chaotic mess that was coh2 at launch won't repeat itself.
as for the good ol' 1v1 vs 4v4 balance discussion: while i do agree the game should be balanced across all game modes, 1v1 should (and always will) have priority. because, let's face it, this and maybe 2v2 is where the game is truly competitive and where it matters most.
I hope coh3 has game mod modifiers that allow different units to have different stats due to game mode. Would make balancing 1v1 and 4v4's much easier. |

Tanks cant counter ATGS who can deal some serious damage to hulled down tanks. Your bound to take shots from an ATG as takes long enough time get out of it. So I wouldn't say it's risk free. |
at the sametime, why not give it jet engines and make it fly
on serious note:
ostwind 20mm has decent splash radius. that could damage multiple models even if it miss.
if theres a buff, give it extra front armor or raise the ROF

Isn't there a bulletin for this exact thing? Also the ostwind does insane amounts of damage anyways. Why even need to suppress.

Ostwind is fine as is; there's already a bulletin that gives Ostwind some suppression. We don't need change for the sake of change.
