Thread: [Winter Balance Update] SOV Feedback23 Dec 2020, 15:22 PM Jump back to quoted post23 Dec 2020, 12:28 PMDharx Its' relevant exactly because some seem to forget why MR was introduced in the first place. iirc in 2018 or 2019 there was a 2v2 wc. allies/soviet were the strongest as most agreed. since then, the mod team played around with heavy call-ins, gave MR to sov, buff maxim. but otherwise, sov faction remained untouched. so im perplexed a lot others are saying sov are UP now. imo is bollocks. sov are still the strongest 2v2 faction imo, especially with 7man cons now. thus it hurts to see mod team, rushed to nerf ostt and vsl grens because of a single 1v1 wc recently. Infantry spam often overshadows weapon team gameplay and this is a step in the wrong direction. AT guns don't have to melt even faster. i agree. this change sounds worth a try, but in reality it is disastrous for ost. pak is their only 60 range mobile AT. allies have larger squad size, higher dps, sprint. katsuya will make easier mince meat of pak. no good, simply no good. Thread: [Winter Balance Update] UKF Feedback23 Dec 2020, 10:53 AM Jump back to quoted post22 Dec 2020, 21:53 PMthedarkarmadillo sturms start getting slapped around as the game goes on as well. i have not tested yet, but i can see sappers being made minutes sooner may be problematic is all im saying. like i said, they are basically ost pios, but can get an extra man, have better vet, get weapon racks, get a snare.... early game victories can snowball and units that scale well are prone to being abused. not saying its definitely going to happen, but its something we should keep a keen eye on. Imo RE + UC and Aec push will be too strong early game. In: COH2 Balance

It seems a bad idea for early re, a buff since re trade well against grens. Pak howie needed a nerf, why increase back to 6 man, basically we back at sov mortar durability for usf, very hard to counter all these long range units as ost, super long range for Pak howie Which brings to ost, do I like static plays, imo it's nice to have flex play style. But with mortar smoke,it clearly disadvantage the already weak ost static play style the most. Without ostt and vsl, yet cons still build sandbags, still have fast vet, they are a beast late games in holding out vp. Yet grens get nothing but nerf In: COH2 Balance

The smoke mortar buff makes ost static plays even harder. early Re ukf makes their UC and AEC too strong especially against ost. And even okw. As faust is already late 6 man pak howie, wow.. Seems another overall buff to allies. Ticks! In: COH2 Balance

There ram is less of an issue because the t34 doesnt suck as much in 1v1, its damage output is noticable because it isent wrecked in seconds, because in turn axis recourse inflation is not at play in 1v1, thus panthers/tigers arent spammed. If it's 1v1, got to ask top players why they prefer earlier t70 and not t3476 when p4 is the preferred choice when using axis. Still t3476 is not a bad unit itself. The timings just need a tweak. With t70 nerf, perhaps t3476 can see more trial uses In: COH2 Balance

Generally that means Allies spend all game preping for the Panthers and everything is just a prelude for then. When I play 4v4 axis, my panther is built to counter allies heavy armor or meme medium spam. Otherwise I rather get ostwind or brumbar first. I don't see why allies need to 'prepare' for panthers these days. Just get your jackson or su85 to counter the brumbar or p4 and they work as well against panthers In: COH2 Balance
