I think the patch is doing a fine job of making small changes that won't upset the apple cart but deals with outliers Yes that is the thing. su85 brought in line, then subsequent followup to nerf brumbar, back to square 1.1! and replacing vsl with stg as shown, made a drastic impact on their firepower as a doctrine ability. we already removed the RA bonus without any compensation! yet sov got penal buffs, which can dominate grens in early long range enagagement. mobilised reserves and 7man cons are buff or compensated with changes! For example; Conscripts Sandbag build time from 13 seconds to 18 Veterancy 1 grants +35% increased build speed Mobilized reserves munition upgrade to the squad Reserves no longer grants +20% veterancy gain. Mobilized Reserves now grants +20% veterancy gain to Conscripts and Penal Battalion. Reverted change to veterancy gain; now once again gain +20% veterancy when upgraded. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] OST Feedback6 Jan 2021, 03:25 AM also now that mortars are liberalise to use smoke, that makes the whole grens+mg42 even worse for ost! ost sniper sight nerfs, why are ukf IS still having sight bonus, in fact all allies have more stock recon options! some makes a fuss about spotting scopes, but why ukf tank commander vision are not look into? or su85 focus sight? wow just wow heart breaking! However, Its important to keep in mind that VSL gives Grens a STG44, increased squad size, Free medkits and other bonus. Unlike Riflemen which just get a BAR when upgraded. yes but vsl is a doctrine, it locks you out of other cool abilities and heavy tanks. it should be stronger than rifles + bar/2bars. seems the nerfs make it worse than vet bars rifles now. vsl can also no longer hold up against allies elite infantry doctrine. the free healing is good but comes late. good nonetheless. the other bonus left iirc is faster vet. gutted thats all i want to say. Yeah whats the hooha about vsl?? It was supposed to be too oppressive? brumbar nerf too because it is too oppressive against allies stock?? double bars + vet rifles now buffed with snares, cant handle?? cons buff with snares cant handle? re coming much earlier cant handle? Thread: [Winter Balance Update] OST Feedback5 Jan 2021, 08:29 AM Jump back to quoted post5 Jan 2021, 08:21 AMmongman sorry buddy but this terminator brummbar that lives in your head rent free does NOT EXIST, if your squad is clumped up t hen sure it could get a squad wipe but 90% of the timr it'll fuck up and hit one dude on the edge of the squad, also this 'allies are losing all their AI' bullshit is stupid, allies have the best infantry in the game so it's pretty fair imo that ostheer have a late game counter to them especially when stock ostheer only come with 4 man squads which are wipetastic dont forget this patch gutted ostt and vsl, ost response to allies infantry plays. i suspect the mod team internal target is to make ost the weakest faction, so called 'model' balanced. just because the last 1v1 championship saw an increase in ost faction, they are swiftly getting 're-balanced' most championship before that had ost underperforming, espeically the 2v2 ones.
