MG doesn't come into play after 3 minutes with USF, even so a player with a minimum of intelligence will not stand still in front of the machine gun with a light vehicle. he is fast, he has smoke, he gains a lot of HP with the upgrade and Vet. with 3 minutes USF there is absolutely nothing to stop you. Best of all, he's running after the retreating troops and killing them all. That should be fixed since one can not drive the vehicle and choose the target with these vehicles which help sniper on retreat. What was it you said about snipers firing at transports in the chatbox? Anyway it's not a bug and therefore does not meet criteria to be fixed. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: sniper idea3 Dec 2022, 11:11 AM so I like the sound of vision cone, as well as being more static (e.g. 'firing mode' vs 'hold fire' and locked in place when firing). Stealth is important for this unit so it should stay. That would turn it into a turret unit, which is fine I guess... But I prefer rebranding them to have more like support unit power levels, e.g. pathfinders; but with high health damage and reduced crit, instead of being locked into a cone. They could be made more survivable too. But both of these options suck compared to the beautiful sniper as it is now. So it'd need to keep its high impact feeling, I love the kill counts they get. (I'm only top 600 sov 1v1 if anyone is wondering). In: COH2 Gameplay

But single threaded render pipeline suggests dx11, which is a legit fail if true. Bigger concern for me is it suggests a lack of event driven architecture, which just makes everything from ai parsing to ui and unit commands sluggish, especially in MP online. I'd love to see their online matchmaking architecture using microservices and events in the cloud, I'm not sure it does In: COH3 Central

Is it even relevant in random team mode? How much worse would it be to have just random matching? Newbies and vets flung together, it's certainly more realistic. If vets want to be tested they should be able to queue specifically for an elo-rated game, solo or as a team. If there are more newbies than vets in the population, then probability dictates that, over time, random teams will be a couple newbs and a vet. Not the curb stomping vet Vs newb train that game designers seem to fear. In short, I hate elo for random play, but like it when I want to test myself. Elo seems more fashion than science.
