I have had some luck using a pair of them supported with a lightweight infantry force and a couple of AT guns. But yes. The M4A3 does what it needs to do just fine. Even better if you go Mech and give it a Dozer blade. |
Yes, please! Nukes for axis!
Its equivalent, the Stuka Bomb Drop, is already in game. Single target, no flare, distinctive sound, does a butt load of damage. |
The game will onky be truly balanced when it's a big empty green field with one obersoldaten riding atop a King Tiger (or Pgren on a Tiger, if Ost) fighting six conscripts. Two of which have rifles.
More seriously, I admit I would like to see brits given a decent offensive option oitside commandos. It'll be even better if it comes with a an area denial offmap cheaper than Air Supremacy. |
Not if it takes the same time to fire a barrage. A few huge shells or a much quicker fire/load/ready time would be needed to offset the usual slow, steady punch that a howie gives. |
Yes, there are team-play abilities. But there are things, simply ARN'T balanced.
As you say, US vehicle-crews, that should be also removed too OR balance it.
Dropping reccources is fine, but tranfer vehilces and weapons is broken if you don't balance it. That is a pure gimmick and shouldn't be a normal ablity.
1. You want to drop MG's for your team-mate? Remove the extra accuracy for Penals AND give them an optional AI-weapon-upgrade like G43 of Grens instead to compensate the nerf.
-> So PTRS needs 2 weaponslots, the AI-upgrade needs 1 weaponslot for 2 guns, so you can still pick one extra weapon.
No nerf, but a way to balance that situation, if you want too keep the drop ability.
2. You want to give your team mate a vehicle? Make a pop-cap timer, so US player can't direclty build a new vehicle.
-> You use the decrew ability, your pop-cap will stay the same for 5 mins. So you can still share stuff, but have to wait 5 mins before you can reduce your pop-cap.
Yes hello I want to redesign the entirity of team games from the ground up with a game six years old purely so that I can avoid one squad being able to recieve an MG upgrade from one british commander
Get over yourself. |
I mean. Americans can also get one on a decent AI squad. I don't hold that it is only the snare/rocket that would break it. But OKW and OST already have all of the heaviest anti tank options going and their vehicles generally win in the longer range engagements. Heavy hitting push deterrants are not needed on their side. |
oh boi---you try it evertime, right? But i can repeat me evertime..maybe you will undertand it ...in some years:
once more...ONLY for YOU:
> satchels are very effective..even in high rank games vs the best players
> AT Satchels are much more effective ...even in high ranks vs the best players
No, they're not. They are a one in a few hundred chance of wiping a squad for a normal satchel, and the AT stachel is just a worse AT grenade in the majority of cases it gets thrown. If it gets thrown at all. |
I'd rather have a weapon upgrade then huge accuracy vet.
And panzerfussiliers and living proof that both can exist at the same time even.
And Fusis can also pick up dropped weapons for bonus fun.
Admittedly they are a piniata to rival Guards given the G43's can't be dropped but count for your weapon loss threshold. But whatcha gonna do.
Point is commanders bring synergies and, no, one UKF player having to invest 1000 muni in a team game to equip everyone with middle ground LMGs is not going to break anything more than an OKW fuel rush or the existence of the command Panther. |
He probably means drops for soviets, because they are irrelevant for USF.
It also creates synergy between factions and we all know that synergy = batshit op if opponent has it, but balance/underpowered when you have it, like donating shitload of fuel to OKW as ost.
It is broken because of team-play, by pushing penals etc. The funktion should be replaced by an upgrade for 1x light Vickers for Tommies like the LMG42 upgrade for Grens. The M3 should get maybe a little aura like OKW Opel Blitz.
The current truck is simply a fail-design.
Or what would you think about Volks/Obers with 2xLMG42 dropped by an Ostheer-Teammate?
Ah yes, there we go, it's started already. |
I am not saying that Conscripts are good, IMO I think they are still bad, I am just saying that Penals now are better in every way and there is no need for conscripts. Even if you buff conscripts, It will be very hard to overcome Penals. I'm not saying nerf penals, but give them a deficit, like back then when building only penals leave you very exposed to light vehicles.
And by the way guards are doctrinal, so I'm not into it right now.
If you build only penals you are vulnerable to all vehicles
If you upgrade them all to AT packages you become vulnerable to enemy infantry |
