Glider commandos are a much closer approximation to the type of callin that FSJ are, and the cost of racks has to be divided into the number of squads it's used for so if you get 4 commandos the utility of that 15 fuel investment has to be split 4 ways. You dont tech racks for just one squad, so you cant really use the full tech cost to represent one squad. glider commandos are even more expensive because you are forced to buy an officer and retreat point before you can even purchase one squad. Infiltration commandos come in the strongest and most picked commando doctrine so it's completely relevant, why do you think players like Jove will insta lock mobile assault commander and use a single squad yet never fork out for brens or extra squads? Because it's redicoulsly expensive compared to falls. Upgrading brens on commomandos is just dumb, you pay a premium but you get out traded anyway by vet obers and falls as the game drags on. I don't know why people are bringing them up as proof of anything because they are way more expensive and still inferior lacking snare from camo. And yes been racks need to be accounted for, because it's not exactly easy to afford when Tommies have just been hit with the nerfbat and 5man upgrade is basically mandatory now. In: COH2 Balance

Add up the cost of 1. Infiltration commando 2.reinforcement cost to 5man because they start with 3 3.Bren rack fuel and mp cost 4.90muni for double brens And then compare this to what you need for quad fg42 falls and I think you'll see where the problem is. Thread: How's the post-patch Comet?4 Oct 2019, 05:53 AM If comet is going to remain a premium med AI specialist at panther price point and pop, it needs it's MG DPS buffed and brought into line with other mediums. At the moment players are at the mercy of the main guns RNG which can cause some frustrating gameplay. eg sniper retreating and 185f comet missing every shot where as a P4, E8, T34/85 etc would gun it down with MG damage in seconds. I believe tightrope highlighted this in a recent cast, you just can't rely on the comet to chase and wipe weak squads like you can with any other tank. Apart from that the changes have been good, especially the reload at vet. But like others in the thread have mentioned the vet grenade ability is really buggy, perhaps remove it and replace it with a pen or +5 range buff at vet3. In: COH2 Balance

Panzerbüchsen or something else would be great, so it would be easier to outplay clown cars etc. It would make more sense to give them captured PTRS upgrade as new models or guns are not being added. the axis captured large numbers of these and then put them into service. Are royal engies UP because of this? No, it's just the way they are balanced and are better or worse in certain areas. Considering we had roaming volk shrek blobs for years most players are against cheap spammable shreks for obvious reasons. The alpha damage and pen makes it a lot more lethal than zooks with blob cheese In: COH2 Balance
Thread: StuG life not viable12 Aug 2019, 14:05 PM Stug just received a survivability and rotation buff, ostwind just got a great dps buff, P4 still outclasses most allied mediums. Why do people think Ostheer T3 needs anymore buffs? There are tanks in the game like the comet that are trash and have needed rebalancing for years but apparently Ost tanks need rebalancing every patch. The Stug E is probably the only mediocre vehicle they have, everything else is good or great. You can't even afford a panther in most scenarios and if you go for a pwerfer, you waste fuel that you need for a panther if you ever get there. In a 2v2, yes I can see your point. In teamgames double pak howi can be a real pain though, screened by riflemen and tommies for example, you will never get close. That's because Ostheer have the brumbar in the same tier that can cause a whole lot more damage vs infantry yet still hard counter ATGs and other teamweapons as the werfer does. Panther isn't really anymore harder to get than a comet. And the comet is trash, we need to end this "ost t4 is never used" argument. Because panther are built a lot, it's just 1vs1 naturally produces medium tank spam to apply pressure In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Pak Howitzer needs adjustment10 Aug 2019, 12:21 PM Problem with the Pak howi is it can utterly drain MP and cause a lot of pain from a safe distance. But then the moment it gets hit by stuka it is instawiped and is a trash unit and invalid. Maybe make it and the isg more mobile, but remove auto attack.
