It doesn't allow alternative teching, it doesn't give more anything except overlap. Then the logical alternative would be to allow the dozer upgrade for the M4A3 or add the 76mm Sherman instead. That being said I don't see how the M4A3 is the samething as the Cromwell. The M4A3 has the AP/HE shells, a .50 cal, seems like a much better tank. In: COH2 Balance

It starts it's life as an unarmed paper vehicle against factions with readily available AT. If it's a problem for you I don't know what to say except lol. I have sat back and watched this faction try to compete with one hand tied behind It's back for 3 years now. And every time some little tweak is made to try to even the odds it gets almost immediately reversed. It's just hilarious at this point. Maybe two patches ago was the only time Brtis took the title from USF as worst faction. But hey, if the community wants USF to be garbage then so be it. In: COH2 Balance

So it would become literally kubel on steroids. No, that's just a more expensive Kubel. Best option remove upgrade cost for MG. Have it deploy with an MG already. All elite infantry have ridiculous DPS. A single Thompson Paras/Rangers or Shocks beating 2 Axis squads is the norm, while Commandos need to ambush to pull that off. Elite infantry need that superior cost-effectiveness because they usually have no snares/utility and come out much later versus already vetted and/or upgraded mainline infantry. They also have smaller windows of effectiveness because light vehicles are already hitting the field and medium vehicles will follow soon after. The reason you think only Axis elite infantry have super-high dps is that you only play Allies/USF. Obers and Panzergrens out class Riflemen but what do all three of these units have in common? They're all non-doctrinal units. So you have standard Axis units that will outpreform USF units despite the claim "Allies (especially USF) have better infantry". So the truth is USF doesn't actually have better infantry at all. The only exception is doctrinal Paratroopers, I don't think there is a better infantry unit in the game but that's limited to Airborne or Recon. In: COH2 Balance

Paratroopers are good and are clearly supeior but only available with a couple doctrines. The Riflemen + BAR thing is not even close to being as good as Grens + Panzergrens. OKW I'm not sure, Obers a the better infantry than Riflemen bit theu come much later. Panzergrens arrive way too soon. In: COH2 Balance

Please, give us this replay. I did not say Riflemen were in and of themselves "underwelming", that was referring to double BARs for 120 munitions after a 15 fuel and 150 MP side tech. I did say it's unfortunate USF has to rely on Riflemen as they're the only valid starting unit available. In: COH2 Balance
