At least trying to be unbiased must be even harder. Those 3 "free" squads compensate for not having elite/semi elite inf stock, rocket arty stock or stock heavies tanks or heavies in general? Or do they compensate for the to high mp bleed for usf? In: COH2 Balance

Against mediums i rather use the su76. Even if the su76 is not optimal vs heavy armour i would not recommend sending a tiger or panther unsupported against 2 su76´s because there is a good chance you will lose your heavy armour. Yeah its true that its still risky. It will most likely still end in one lost su76 and tiger/panther gets away after that kill. In: COH2 Balance

No matter how shitty it is. Just because the maxim sucks and requires munitions to do the job other MG's can do for free we don't put the maxim in the disappointment class instead of the Machinegun class. The su76 is a multyrole lightweight with corresponding stats in hp armour mobility pen damage and price. Only its mobility is simaler/better. The only unit that comes close is the puma but its an armoured scout car. In: COH2 Balance

And people to often look to damage and not the firing speed of these units. Then combine that with the barrage ,speed and fotm bonus and i find this unit to be a most cost-effective medium tank hunter Its good enough when you are behind. Just a su85 wont have any trouble penning axis late game armour like the s76 will. The higher rof doesnt mean much if you always need a extra shot that pens to kill anything and you own td dies in 3 shot. Its also a more micro to get them going wich is often overlooked. This is my fault for getting greedy but i once lost 2 su76's to a single teller. So yeah they are servicable but imo def not cost effective considering its timing and micro. In: COH2 Balance

Since they are not in the same class as su85s, Firefly's, Jacksons or Jagd Panzers. And Puma and AEC aren't TD. They are AT LV. You can't seriously be saying that su76 is a vehicle of a class of which it is the only member??? Yes it is its own class. Their is no other unit like it, no other unit has such a shit timing window and doesnt scale meaningfully. Unlike the su76 both the m10 and stug tank 4 at rounds, both do the 160 damage. Both have a powerfull round/abilitie to fullfil its primary job. In: COH2 Balance

I don't know that the Barrage is all that situational though, It's an absolutely core part of ZiS strategy, and i have no reason to believe that using it on your SU-76 is worse. Situational isent the best way to discribe when you say it like this. Yes i agree the barrage is the core of the su76. What i am getting at is the barrage is imo rarely so effective that it makes the the su76 a viable choice. Taking the armour pen and hp disparety in the late gamebetween axis and allies into account. The barrage is still usefull dont get me wrong but at long range at most it forces a say mg to move at best. At close range it can kill but easely be killed. So to sum it up its usefull but nothing great or high impact. In: COH2 Balance

The SU-76 gets scaling through an improved barrage range and cooldown, alongside better accuracy/reload. (and ultimately better penetration values than the STUG). The trade off for the stug is also that it is sturdier and can stun. The at guns that support it can also stun (both with vet) these imo also are trade offs for it having 50 range instead of 60. The barrage is situational and raw stats buffs trump ability buffs. The stug has very much the same rof as the su76 at vet 3. Meaning the stug gets a bigger rof buff then then the su76 just as a bigger mobility buff. The stug has higher base pen wich allows it it pen pen almost all allied stock vehicles 100% at max range unlike the su76. And afaik the su76 doesnt get any pen buffs with vet. And as their rof at vet is simaler and dont see the su76 getting higher overall pen via sheer rof. In: COH2 Balance
