It doesn't have to be bad. There are multiple things that can cause crashes: incompatibile or faulty hardware, drivers and their version, the type and version of OS you use, the settings you use, interfering programs (viruses for example) and so on. It has nothing to do with your processor being faster or slower.
Yes, I understand, yet we have completely different PCs and specs and still see a lot of crashes (not only for us, our enemies also regularly have crashes). So it seems the game is pretty succeptible to crashes and doesn't seem to be compatible with too many programmes, OS, etc. |
I remember you from yesterday. No crash for me. Even if i don't restart my game. So it's a weird issue.
Never see that particular crash error 183.
Yea, we lost one game against you, because my mate dropped, right? Well, that's the point, those errors and crashes are extremely random and unpredictable, and it cannot be connected to bad hardware, since our pcs are not bad and when I played on an inferior laptop, I didn't have as many problems. |
Ever since the last patch yes. The error for me is usually error 183 failed to create dump or something of the sort.
It seems to have increased, that's true (it might be selective perception though). Especially the "failed to create dumpfile" happens quite often now, and also the classic bugsplat appears from time to time. I just don't know how to maintain a higher rank when the game crashes in at least 1 out of 10 games and you get a loss because of that even though you didn't even start the game... |
Hey guys, just a quick question? Do you also have massive problems with crashes like "failed to create dump file" or bugsplats in general? My mate and I worked up to rank 200 in 2v2 at today with a streak of +5, before going down 116 (!!!) ranks because of two crashes in a row. And it has nothing to do with our pcs being too bad, I guess it's just bad programming... |
OKW on Charkow = gg, nothing to see here except another cut-off and house-occupying orgy... |
I also don't understand why we are only focussing on blobs? Ofc blobbing with FRPs as backup is pretty strong, but even apart from blobbing they give you a huge advantage, whether you blob or not. An MG that has to retreat and is not on the field for minutes, compared to one that retreats and is back after a few secs, is still a huge difference in terms of field presence and map control. |
As it's been mentioned, I'd be curious to see if FRP were removed and only soft-retreat reinforcing were available (vCoH style playing ergo Forward HQ). Still keep the game the same way, with the USF ambu, OKW truck, Sov/Ost HT...just remove the ability for the "get out of jail" retreat card to be so close to the front.
If you do a hard retreat, that's part of the penalty for retreating, you go allll the way back to your base. Again, I think the early FRP of OKW makes them so powerful early game. They already have the strongest early game units (SP & Kubel combo), no sense it getting those back in action so quickly after a hard retreat. Give the other side a reward and time to breathe for forcing OKW back.
USF can only do FRP at T3 (Major). That's LATE game. OKW can FRP at T1. Slight difference. USF has ambulance at T1, but that's only for soft retreat, and it's weak as hell. When USF retreats it's blob, it goes back to base. OKW retreat it's blob, and it only goes back 1 sector (or whereever the truck is planted).
USF comes late, that's true, but it comes for free (if you decide to tech up) and is easily the best one, since you can just move the FRP once it's spotted - something that few players actually do, thus getting barraged to death pretty often. Brits and OKW don't have this luxury, their risk is greater. |
b]Brit medpacks mean IS can absorb some damage but stay out on the field anywhere and even heal up other units. Compare that to the other factions who have to: pay munis/build medbunker, risk losing ambulance, risk losing FHQ.
Well, the medpacks are pretty strong for field presence and soft retreats, that's true, but you should not forget that Brits probably have the weakest healing overall. You always need a IS with medpack whereever you have your other units, or they won't get heal (unless they go to the IS ofc). If medpacks are changed, maybe the medics from the glider should be available at the hq, too - for a higher price ofc.

Yeah he is! He rekt me in an automatch and we've played a few together since then
Just keep on losing -> feeling like a scrub -> lelic decides to give you literally new players you have no problems beating -> win one game, get matched with a top30 team again -> back to losing feelsbadman |
Forward Retreat points are like the repair speed differences between the factions. Just with the difference that it is the infantry that is returning back to the battle too fast, instead of the vehicles. However, infantry would be completely worthless in large team games due to the map size. But yeah, this game shouldn't discriminate against the old factions then... |
