Since Volks become pretty versatile on most ranges after the MP44 upgrade, I wonder what the advantage of this unit would be and why I would waste a good doctrine for this one? So you can spam them out in order to occupy all houses like Osttruppen? In combination with the very potent Sturmpionier, who can clear some houses in the super-early game, this might actually be too good - or completely useless, hard to tell. But in general I dont see the advantage of Volkssturm over the ordinary Volksgrenadiere... In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: New OKW commander - Volkssturm doctrine11 Jul 2017, 16:15 PM Feels like a Osttruppen commander 2.0, with nearly identical abilities and a similiar distribution of abilities: a lot early game with one late game ability which costs lots of ammunition. However, the Volkssturm - depending on how they would be implemented - seems far more powerful than their Ost-counterpart. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: CoH3: Scenario/front - VOTE NOW!!!!6 Jul 2017, 09:37 AM Two ideas that come to my mind would be the following: 1) Choose one (European) theatre. Have few factions available, but make three game modes, 1939 early war, 1941/42 mid-war and 1944/45 late war. The factions would have different equipment and would play differently depending on the time period. 2) Include smaller nations instead of always having Germans, US, Brits and Soviets. Ofc they were the main combatants in Europe (plus France I guess, but RIP), but it would be cool to see some smaller factions, too. In: Lobby

Plus free units from tech and good vehicles if you know how to use them. It can be hard to get rid of an Ost Sniper, but the Ost sniper is still very fragile and when he dies it can often be gg. And you dont seem to understand what a huge change adding a sniper would be (even though you yourself called them game changers), and its not about using/not using them, but rather about playing against them... Really? I mean that thing is pretty good to camp VPs because of its infantry-killing capabilities, but against medium spam that thing sucks some major d*ck. I've had some games where the enemies lost because they went for KT as fast as possible, but with T34-85s and Fireflies you have everything you need to destroy the KT. In general, I dont think its a good idea to implement that change, otherwise certain doctrines would just disappear (Pershing, IS2, certain Tiger commanders, etc.). Heavies are in no way as strong as they used to be in CoH1, so I dont necessarily see the need for that. In: COH2 Balance
