White Phosphorous shells are insanely good: before this you only got them on a Comet. Giving them to the Sherman, a unit that already has the excellent HE rounds, turns it into a superlative anti-tank gun killer. Previously, with T2 it would be too high of a manpower invesment to get and without T2 you'd be completely open to light vehicle rushes. Now, with Shrecked Pgrens as option, it suddenly became a good option. You should also look at those costs holistically, almost no one makes T2 for a single vehicle. You more often see 2 light vehicles and a pak. T2, a 222 and a Pak is 720 MP 50 FU. Two PGren squads is 680 MP. The drawbacks of skipping T2 are so minor now that it's just not worth 200 MP 20 FU any more. In: COH2 Balance

Think something like 80-100 manpower. I don't like the idea of locking Schrecks behind the T2 building (altough I've suggested this in the testing phase). Giving Ostheer a stock AT option outside of T2 has given them a lot of doctrinal options that were previously unviable (lmg gren 250 would be a good example, I'd never get that if I could go 222, but with pgrens to act as AT, it suddenly becomes interesting). That's because the 250 HT is insanely good value if T2 isn't needed. 400 MP, 90 MU, 50 FU for a 251 Flamer. 410 MP, 60 MU, 20 FU for a 250 and a Flame Pio to put in it. In: COH2 Balance

That'd serve the same purpose (to give you Ostruppen squads in the mid game to bolster your ranks) without the daft 'suicide your units' mechanic. Making the tier redundant is bad design and osts tech design is SUPPOSED ATO BE about each thing (building or tech) giving you things. Pgrens available earlier is a good change, but there should be some balancing factor for that. Otherwise it's just as much of a no Brainer as ptrs penals as far as "great AI unit and easy AT if you need it" that's not how Ost was designed and each tier should be valuable. Adjust the cost of the tier if needed but it should be built for AT imo. I don't think the price of T2 needs adjusting if the Panzerschrecks require T2. That single change is enough to set everything straight in my opinion. In: COH2 Balance

Considering also its timing. I'll try to explain this again. If you want to build 222, you need to build T2 (200 MP 20 FU) and then build the 222 (200 MP 30 FU). That's 400 MP 50 FU. If you don't build a 222, you don't have to build T2 any more. Therefore, the difference in price between building the 222 and not building the 222 is 400 MP 50 FU. In: COH2 Balance

It should risk rewarded and risk unrewarded. If player decides skipping T2. Increasing price would mean otherwise! Do you honestly think a 222 is worth 400 MP 50 FU? I don't think the Ostwind's price is even relevant. The problem is you no longer need to build T2 if you're not using the Ostheer lights. Panzergrenadiers have your anti-light AT duties covered. Previously, if you chose not to build a 222/251, you'd save yourself 200 MP 30 FU. Now, if you choose not to build a 222, you save yourself 400 MP 50 FU. Opening up this T2 skipping route hugely increases the opportunity cost of Ostheer's T2 units. In: COH2 Balance
