You can find a unit frustrating and irritating to play against, but that doesn't make it powerful. It makes it unpleasant. Take Radio Silence. It's an OKW ability that turns off the minimap and tac map for the opponent. It's only purpose is to frustrate and annoy your opponent. It's a stress generator with zero worth beyond that. In my view the very idea of it is antithetical to good game design. It's up there with reversing key bindings on the list of abominable, worthless concepts that have no place in any game EVER. But it's also one of the weakest abilities in the game. Most players consider it a waste of slot. Despising the B4 and the B4 being balanced aren't mutually exclusive. In: COH2 Gameplay

Its actually quite a good unit and carries me through my midgame against OST. I think it's fine although it does feel a bit punishing to have to show your ass to shreks and MGs most of the time. Get used to babysitting it with handbrake and reverse; it will dumpster ost. I'm currently Rank 129 USF: I know how to micro an AAHT. And yes, it's a very effective unit. That doesn't change the fact that the pathing engine simply isn't equipped to handle it. The OP's suggestion is a sensible QoL change. In: COH2 Gameplay

Relic has been patching the game with quick fixes and exceptions for about five years and the game is now a rattling, inconsistent, jury-rigged mess that somehow continues to function. It's still fun to play based on its enduring playerbase, but if you're looking for some consistent underlying logic you're not going to find it. The original cost of one Panzershreck was 60 munitions. Volksgrenadier Shrecks got cranked up to 90 because of the blobbing, PGren double Shrecks got cranked down to 100 because they weren't used much. Volksgrenadier Shrecks got moved wholesale to Sturmpioneers, then got cranked down to 70 because they were underused. In: COH2 Gameplay

All the backwards AAHT achieves is breaking Attack Move and making it have a seizure whenever the player forgets to micro it backwards. There's literally zero mechanical benefit to the way the AAHT is implemented. In: COH2 Gameplay

Moving PGrens to BP2/T0 was done for two reasons: firstly, to make them available earlier (by 200mp/20f), but ALSO to untie OSTs early game AT from T2. If PGrens required T2 for shrecks, then T2 no longer becomes optional, since OST would have zero counters to LVs without it. That would in turn mean that the move of PGrens to BP2/T0 was basically pointless, since you're only making one or two PGrens available about 40 seconds earlier than before, as the OST player would need to get T2 down anyway. I disagree. PGrens were moved to BP1/T0 to make them hit the field sooner, allowing them to vet up faster. Timig is a big deal, especially in 1v1. Ostheer T2 is not priced around being optional. The units in T2 are worth their price: they are not worth 200 MP/20 FU plus their price. Giving T2 its AT monopoly back is one way to to make it worth its price again. If the balance team really is set on making T2 skipping a thing (something I vehemently disagree with) then they need to shift at least 120 MP 10 FU of teching costs away from the T2 building. Thread: OST pg question22 Jul 2019, 22:15 PM I think it's a good idea to lock them behind T2, mostly because T2's priced around having a monopoly on AT. That 200 MP 20 FU is a big deal. It was different when you had to build it, but now you don't and that really hurts the viability of the T2 units. In: COH2 Balance

However, when a vehicle does get snared it is a perfectly valid option to finish it off with a satchel/satchels. Happens on high level play too. Also satchels and snares on an at weapon holding squads eliminate certain possiblities of engaging them. Oh, satchels are hardly useless. As snares though, the threat is the ease of applying them. Satchels hit hard but are much more difficult to proc than normal 10 range snares. In: COH2 Balance
