The theory that all infatry have a shared CD on smoke grenades is due to a bug is simply unsupported for a number of reasons: 1) The majority of units with the combination smoke grenades/HE have them on shared cd 2) Even Shock troops used to have them in shared CD December 2018 and there was an attempt to remove the shared CD a buff. I pretty sure that even if there was no bug the MOD team would had realized it was not the brightest idea. 3) There is nothing about a bug about the LT change or the Jaeger : "Lieutenant This change puts the Lieutenant's smoke ability in-line with other units that have non-lethal smoke and fragmentation grenades. Smoke now shares a cooldown with Frag Grenades" "Smoke and Rifle grenade now on shared cooldown (as originally intended)" Think it pretty clear that smoke grenades and HE grenades sharing CD is intentional. If you are still skeptical and thing that shared CD is due to bugs feel free to ask the moderation team. In: COH2 Balance

IIRC this also applies to volks when they have the infiltration grenades and the flame grenades dont share a cooldwon. The reason smoke grenades share cool down with normal grenades is that it can be used to frontally attack a hmg. Blendkörper is not a just "smoke" grenade but does damage and slow down so it can not be used that way. I am not arguing that it should be on shared cd I am simply explaining the reasons. My suggestions though would be to change Blendkörper to be used for its real life design and become a temp vehicle snare. In: COH2 Balance

There are usually enough places to drop them safely, even behind enemy lines. And as opposed to Paratroopers, they can hide after their drop because of their camo. Falls are already compensated for having 4 men by having a very tight drop pattern compared to Paratroopers. You can drop them anywhere that's not right next to a building or a big hedge. Even if they do not hit object with lower counter they easier to be killed by units during drop, there was even video somewhere with fall dying from fire before even hitting the ground. Even if everything goes perfectly they have to retreat earlier behind enemy lines and are at higher risk. In addition lower counter model make the "Airborne Assault" reinforcement part less effective for the same reasons. The only other parachutist unit in the game are USF paras and they start with 6 entities. It is a successful design. I see no reason to move away from recipe that works. Having 4 entities was necessary when they started with 4 FG-42 (using a different profile) but serves no real purpose now and has no real benefits. In: Lobby

VG have 5 entities so not that standard. Riflemen are also 5 entities yet the paras is the only USF unit with 6 entities. The reason behind that is that aggressive airdrops are hazardous. Entities might hit world object and die or can be shot down before they land die. If paras are not used aggressively the hole mechanism become less important. And that is not doable according to Sanders. That is correct. If they get more entities they get less DPS, but that is a good thing. More entities would create more differences with obers. What you usually refer is to xp requirements for veterancy. I'm talking about the unit xp value which is tied to vet level. Vet ranks are expressed in numerical values with specific increments. If a unit needs 100xp to vet1, it will be listed with experience_value: 100f and then double that amount for vet2 and so on. But what that unit receives on each vet level is a modifier which increases the value of the unit, which with outdated extracted attributes shows as plain x1.16 or x1.20 per vet level. In some OKW units only appearing in 4 cases and in others 5. I think we are talking about the same thing, when I said XP value I meant both at VET 0 and for each vet level: "OKW Veterancy With the changes to OKW veterancy, the high values OKW units awarded when damaged are no longer necessary. Veterancy 5 for select units no longer increases the unit’s current value, reducing the amount of experience they give to other enemy units that hit them." but as I pointed this has been done only to selected unit which makes it Veterancy system a mess. Volks combat power comes from their sandbags and their flame nades ability to deny cover from the enemy. Obers have to be strong to make up for volks weak scaling. Sturms problem is their map dependancy. they are fine for close range maps but on more open maps they die super quick. They are way too expensive to buy late game if you need more repairs thoug, which is really annoying IDK how to fix volks/obers, but for sturms, I say they should get a cost reduction but a big build time increase, with the build time increase preventing double sturm openings from being too good but the lowered cost allowing for a second stum squad lae game for repairs The problem is not VG or Grenadiers the problem is allied infatry and the mentality to keep bringing more powerful units (see PG) earlier. The game need more nerf and less buffs. In: COH2 Balance

The Build would still have the Forward Retreat Point which means you could park a Half Track next to it to reinforce all units (Basically requiring 2 units like the Major/Ambulance) and wouldn't really change anything. You could also put the Retreat Point Near a British Forward HQ or Ambulance and achieve the same thing. Not really a good argument here. Large mod will always have issues. Keep in mind that when you look at a commander as a whole you have to look at the entire commander and how it balances out vs other Commanders. You want to create Viable player choices. Not really because I suggested removing the fuel price. That would make the rally player closer to USF beacons that also reinforce only Paras. I use this commander occasionally simply for the Quality of Life the Rally Point Provides. If said Quality of Life is no longer available then I would hands down go ISU 152 or a Commander with Mark Target every game. The commander is mostly used for the SVT and Rocket strafe as far as I know. In: Lobby
