USF doesnt need many arty call downs in their commanders, they have access to many already. What they dont have access to is White Phosphorus and similar area of denial abilities with out commander picks. White Phosphorus is my second favorite ability in the commander, really dont think ToT would do anything to Rifle companys pick or win rate. You might want to ask the MOD team to revert the change 240mm arty then. In: COH2 Balance

Rifle Company is a weak commander and Easy8 should not carry the commander. On could try to swap TOT with WP to make the commander more viable. Mechanized thou even in preview give access to 5 doctrinal units and 1 doctrinal abilities + 2 from wc51. So it give access to more than just 76mm. In: COH2 Balance

If a whole commander is focus on CP1-CP2 infatry that is the problem of the commander and not the infatry. How many commander are out there that being carried by CP1-CP2 infatry? Do you really think that recreating Osttrupenn commander is really a good direction? The unit is more than cost efficient it simply can not carry the hole commander. Do you think that if Shock troops replaces partisan they commander would suddenly be great? I haven't seen them in a long time. The last time I did see them, they ambushed my Panzergrenadiers and ate shit. I shouldn't have won that engagement, I wasn't even paying attention until it was halfway over. Why would you expect a 210 manpower CP1 unit beat a 340 T2 unit? In: COH2 Balance

You are locking out indirect fire options, elite infantry like Paras or Rangers by going for 76mm or E8. As long as this two tanks are no real alternative for nondoc tank combos this companies won't be competetive. Then you should probably be asking to nerf the non doc combos. Sherman is on of the most cost efficient medium tanks and m36 is one of the strongest TDs. The unit if more than fine. Expecting the unit to have a gun that is better than of PzIV is simply too much, while haven access to HAVP and other perks. Expecting the 76mm or the Easy8 to carry the commander on its own is again asking too much. In: COH2 Balance

AOE is exactly the same for both, while 75mm has slightly lower scatter angle (1,5) and 76mm has slightly less max scatter (1,2). Both shells suck at killing infantry in comparison to other generalist tanks. E8 isn't very good either (same bad AOE) but has the best scatter values overall. Either way it is not that important if M4A3 standard shells are slightly better or slightly worse, since M4A3 uses HE versus infantry, and that is clearly the best AI shell of all generalist tanks. Still my argument stands, that the bad AOE of M4C is such bad because its RoF was so high and could buffed with combined arms by further 30%. One does not get the 76mm for fighting infantry, they have 75mm for that, but for fighting vehicles. 76mm is quite good at fighting vehicles with it penetration/accuracy values are above other tanks of its class. Not really diversifying the unit. The current change is fine as it is. Paratroopers with slight differences. New player friendly as well. I have already explained that the new changes are not fine as it is because they give even less reason to get recon over airborne. I am not sure why in your "glorified riflemen" with better grenades/weapons and not tech cost would be a bad thing in your opinion. Even so you are entitled to your own opinion. In: COH2 Balance

The AOE values are similar while the scatter value in not worse for 75mm AP Sherman (they are probably better). It simply not that bad. I guess MMX will give more detail on the issue. For instance one could try some of the following change for support paras: Removing airdrop Lowering price possibly reducing CP to 2 Make them tougher by reducing the target size replacing the LMG upgrade with a "super BAR" upgrade That would make them a unit that can stand up to PG at mid range while retaining decent far DPS and performing better at long range fights due to durability instead of DPS. I found no notes or references to this, only references to -50% accuracy for slot items. I thought Osttruppen K98 out of cover DPS was lower compared to Grens mostly because they only do half the damage. I thought in-cover DPS of Osttruppen K98 was limited due to hit chance being capped at 1 and they get a lot of over-accuracy. Yep I am pretty sure. It is weird mechanism that does not make much sense similar to KV-2 indirect reload mechanism. In: COH2 Balance
