For him anything that isn't 100% historically authentic is immersion breaking. Thankfully he represents a tiny proportion of the playerbase. Most people just want the game to be good.
Nothing surprises me anymore. Below is some good info on why Relic/Sega management can't be trusted partly because of ESG investments/scores.
Just follow the money and you'll know the truth 9 out of 10 times.
To a denier, nothing will ever satisfy them other than experiencing 'truth' for themselves.
People can ignore reality but most people cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
The concentration of wealth (WEF billionaires club and tax avoidance through foundations), the megacorporations that control other's people's money (stakeholder capitalism such as Blackrock/Vanguard) and those who make fiat money (fractional reserve banking) absolutely rule entire countries.
With woke ESG scores/investments, western capitalism has gone completely off the rails.
Bad news sucks, I get it.
Just be informed that with all these pro-ESG companies (including Relic/SEGA), fans can be 100% certain that executive leadership + Sega Sammy board of directors are either naive or corrupt.
Take your pick.

Ah, that's cute. When there is nothing left to argue (Bergetiger was a good trump card that was beaten), then you decided to compare soft and square - game mechanics and the canon of the Second World War.
Let it go man. If it bothers you that much, play a historical realism ww2 game instead of an RTS like coh. There are plenty out there.
It's literally the same thing. The Black Prince is a prototype from 1945 that would never have been in time for war if someone in their right mind would have thought of sending such an unreliable tank to war. And he magically appears in Africa in 1942-1943.
I understand the broader point you are making, but a prototype from 1945 is definitely not 'literally the same thing' as space elves and aliens from the far future.
Part of me would actually enjoy seeing the reaction if relic trolled everybody and pretended to do a COH vs 40k RTS.
Then why not add Space Marines and Rivendell Elves to the game? Nobody says that the game should be 1000% historically true and the tank has a rivet in the wrong place. But the game did not deviate from the canons of the Second World War, and this really worsens the immersion in the game. Also, game mechanics do not equal authenticity. The fact that the game has a small scale does not mean that it negates the authenticity of the game.
When infantry skins were shown that ruined the WWII atmosphere of immersion and authenticity by making it closer to the Rainbow Six Siege game, it caused obvious questions and denial. But when a tank is added to the game that does the same - pff, don't care.
I agree with you about the over the top, tasteless skins. But come on, you're comparing shoehorning characters from straight up fantasy into a ww2 game to somebody using artistic licence so that they can include vehicles from 'basically' the same point in history. It's hardly the same thing.
My point was who cares about historical accuracy? It's a game wehere tanks engage themselves at nearly point blank, infantry can sustain a volley of bullet and artillery has close to no range but it's breaking your immersion if there a fantasy tank? The game itself is fantasy, at leats in my opinion. Why is the black prince such a big deal I really don't get it. Feels like nitpicking. If it's about plane, having a functionning luftwaffe in the settingd of coh2 is pure fantasy aswell but nobody seems to care whatsoever for some reason...
I agree. I find all the complaining about historical authenticity a bit weird. There's so much in every COH game that is no-where near historically accurate or realistic. We love it because it's a great RTS, that's all it needs to be. As others have said, if you want a ww2 realism sim there's a whole other genre dedicated to exactly that.
I can only speak for myself but fussies are why I stopped playing 1v1. Against OST, you would sometimes see different strats even if they didn't deviate from meta to much. But OKW players would literally pick fussies every game, I would get excited to see Falls/JLI/221. As I try to avoid using reg Guards as much as possible, my only long range option is Airborne. I love the commanders but it gets boring playing the same way each game.
I do understand from the OKW side as fussies provide the techless nade, so it puts a stop to clowncar shenanigans but it does get to be a chore trying to outplay a unit with so many strengths that also come in good commanders that also can get OBER back up if they lose any squads.
That's fair enough I suppose. I have a similar feeling about Guard Motor, except i'm just bored of seeing it every single game.
According to serelia they do similar damage at max range and both units have similar target size. I also tend to use snipers as you suggested but that falls off once recon packages and flares come online. As they are 6 man squads with concentrated DPS they can take the model drops and push towards the sniper for a retreat. At high vet they even get sprint which means a late retreat is most likely a death due to the excellent moving DPS. As others have said it requires a lot more work to counter than to use. I personally find it easier to skip the car, go 3 Penals into Guards/Airborne LMG and punish them that way.
Just a side note Penals DPS and target size are wrong on serelia. They didn’t update it after march 2021. Also according to Hannibal the PF close range DPS is a bit high don’t know if that applies to long range.
I mean, obviously you would do your best to support the sniper and punish them when this happens. Don't get me wrong, Fussies definitely are not a weak unit, they have huge amounts of utility, great scaling and your point about them being incredibly easy to use for what they give you is valid. I just don't agree with the hysterical claims about them and OKW supposidly countering everything.
