hmmmm an interesting but difficult proposition tho in my opinion i would like the pershing to have the ability to decrew to repair itself if no pogues or assault engineers are available. as for the decrew abuse exploit im sure relic can find a way to make it work if they put their backs into it
IMO, the decrew exploit is the only way USF can muster the manpower to fight off the OP late game Axis. |
Agreed 100%. It's unnecessary micro that promotes blobbing all your troops together. I don't like playing USF much because of this exact reason.
I like the idea of making it like the Opel Blitz except with aura healing. I'd say medic healing, but afaik there's no way to 'pack up' the medics and it'd look weird if they all just suddenly drop dead when you move the truck.
Here's a mock up because I've got nothing better to do:
Nice mock up! And X2 on all the USF micro. It's the most intensive micro in the game. From upgrades, repairs, weaponizing and not to mention just the "basic" having to micro-MOAR to keep your troops alive and most combat effective (unlike blob-charging with SturmPios and Mp44 grenadiers)
But I think just a simple canopy popping out the side would be good. It doesn't need to hull-down like the trucks and stuff. I would think somewhat quicker deploy-packup, maybe 2x Kubel suppression speed. |
Heck, give USA the T28, 29 or 30.
If they're really not going to give USF a heavy, I really like the idea if you could up-gun the Sherman or pay some fuel/muni to convert it to a Calliope or other variants.
I do think overall MP & fuel costs for USF tanks should be lowered though. In reality, the USA tanks were inferior to much of the Wehrmacht in WW2. More or less, the tank wars were won with overwhelming numbers. IMO, the game provides 1:1 tank battles instead of a 1:1.5 or 1:2. With all the powerful AT Axis has in this game (powerful shreks, Paks, emplacements,Raketen, AND strong tanks), I don't see how this would imbalance too much. |
Why not simply seeing at as a challenge?
Really? You're going with that?
There's plenty enough challenges micro'ing USF that you don't need as something as mundane as healing to micro, too. Especially, as said, when the other factions DON'T have to micro to do it. |
+1
Once again, USF has to micro the crap out of something that is automated with the other factions. |
Add me. I love 2v2, that's my game and love USF. Tho to your OP, I don't do random 2v2s lol. Id rather do 4v4 randoms before 2v2 random.
Added. And if we hook up, feel free to chide me on my playing. |
Actually, I think old mines would fit Muricans perfectly - they'd work against everything, but they wouldn't do much damage and thus force their player to take advantage of the mobility loss they cause to the enemy and reposition themselves to make the mines truly effective.
Non-doc mines would be great to damage the OP medium and heavies Axis has to allow the USF glass tanks and weak AT guns to actually have a working time on those Axis tanks. Mines would counter the current BS pop smoke and super fast reverse "get out of jail free" card Axis currently has. As of now, Axis and charge in and out and deal significant damage without worrying too much on losing units. |
What's the point of 2v2 randoms? If you get afk/droppers/horrible teammates in placement games you're fucked.
Then your ELO is trash and it's a vicious cycle of horrendous experiences.
Rank is trash, for certain. And it's the cycle I'm in. 1 step forward and 3 steps back.
Not true, I disagree, my random 2v2 ranks and partners have been the best they've ever been.
And usf is at the worst they've ever been.
Not to be offensive but often times the one calling their teammate a noob is a noob themselves.
The key to winning random 2v2? Stop worrying about how dumb your teammate is and worry about swagging on your opponent on your side, and then switching to help your teammate. Or help your teammate from the getgo. If you're being doubled, switch to your teammate side.
If you lose your side, and your teammate loses his as well, you can't just say "gah my teammate is a noob"
Because 99% of the time even if your teammate is a complete fruit, if you win your side you can win the game.
Wrong forum too
Cookie, I can't beacon enough to double a side and try to own it. With less than stellar allies we hold a side, then the late Axis roll outs with the OP Elephant, Tiger, Panthers, etc coupled hardly miss shreks and Paks and other AT, then top it off with the OP CAS and it's over.
|
Well, there's just no point of playing 2v2 with random players as allies/usf. Too many "veteran" axis players coupled with the OP late BS. Odds are you'll get a noob and then drop rank and get more noobs for a never ending higher loss to win ratio and spiral down of continuing noobs and losses.
This game might be great for 1v1, but I like team games and with the glaring imbalances with axis, the majority of players playing axis, you'll seldom get an actual GG for team.

LT isn't dead or at least I don't think so. I love using it to get my 50 cal. I have 3 suppression bulletins and the grouping depends on where it is. For me I think its better than mg42. But I also use both tiers like ratchet said with armor company Keepo.
Doesn't that show how pointless it is if you need THREE intel bulletins to make it worth anything?
IMO, make the .50 anti light armor or ffs give it AP. Why the MG gets AP is beyond me as that gun NEVER EVER had a history of anti-armor abilities while the .50 is rife with light anti-armor history. IMO, having the MG with AP is just beyond stupid as Axis has plenty of other early game anti-armor. |
