They look awkward with 2 STGs and 2 Kar98ks. Pls give them 2 more STGs (maybe normal, not scoped) to help them compete against Rangers and Shock Troops at medium-close range.
Sturmpioneers are decent now but I wouldn't risk loosing my expensive repair squad for dangerous frontline duties.

That would be a straight buff to the ability that is probably not needed, especially not because it 'looks awkward'. They almost completely negate cover and do decent damage. They're not in the role of super beefy assault units like Shocks and Rangers, so why should they beat them in that role?

I think infantry sections look awkward with only 2 bren and 3 Enfield rifle, pls give 3 more bren.

That is a bit of an exaggeration they do not "almost completely negate cover". They simply have 0.9 accuracy multiplier instead of 0.5. Damage reduction still applies.

That is a more accurate description. On the other hand since the point blank mechanism kicks in at range 10 anyway the accuracy bonus is mostly effective from range 20-10 and vs garrison.

The real buff IRstg obers need is a fix for their animation bugs. After a while those standing death models are infuriating. And sometimes the units stop shooting out of nowhere (maybe that's just me but it looks so weird).

I assume he's asking for Obersoldaten with 2 IR-StGs and 2 normal ones. That's very different from Panzergrenadiere.

Funny enough you could actually equip them with Volksgrenadier StG's and it'd be a damage increase of less than 1dps at close range, and a loss of 2dps at long range.

You have already cover this THE UNIT DOES NOT "almost ignores cover", and since the ST44 have very high DPS at close range one should (in most case try) to move closer than 10 where the point blank mechanism kicks in anyway.

Actually Vamp obers have no to very little advantage over LMG Ober vs heavy cover in long range.

Yes, 0.9 accuracy vs instead 0.55 for the 2 ST44. Damage reduction still applies.

I never understood ober stgs, you get doctrinal weapon upgrade which already has better/good alternative like lmg
maybe they should buff it or merge with other doctrinal ability and add more useful thing (maybe mp40 upgrade from fire storm, it fits theme)

Merge with infiltration nades and tie them together. Stgs grant unparalleled building clearing without it being over saturated. With a change like that you could even remove the +5mu that DEVISTATED the commander and actually take a look at the uncounterable 2 click recon.
