Wehr had "Tank Hunters" squad (first from left at bottom), apparently removed and instead they gave AT upgrade to Panzer Grenadiers:

Soviets had "Recon Squad" with PPsh (second from left at bottom):

Apparently first they planed only 3 commanders per faction like in vCoH, each commander had different building styles.

Trench model was used as Support Weapon Kampaneya building model:

I believe, last I played, Wehr Tank Hunters are in ToW scenarios when you play as Germans, they are just Panzergrenadiers with MP40s and AT Rifles.
Of course this makes them garbage versions of PGrens. If anything they should be AT variants of Osttruppen..if for any reason you needed them.

I really don't understand why they kept these fucking ugly trenches and didn't go for these ones you have presented..

Time and money, something relic was lacking under the leadership of THQ.

Really sad cause I believe these trenches that are in the game at this moment, are ugly as fuck.
Imagine we would have real trenches, like, real trenches..

The trench visual changes should be sold just like skins, instead of new commanders.

Thank's to Vamp, which posted this video in other thread. You can see hier good icons for units (even snow animation on them), different 1 vet. for soviet infantry and good T-34. The only thing which confusing me, is russian double head eagle in the end.

The t-34 was changed to make define the t-34/85 variant and make it ez to tell whats what.

OKW in hull down would be aids.
223 would have been cool to see and I wish that truck thing acted as a command officer.

man the interface looks much better. just the commanders on the right blocks some view.

Which parts? The interface back then was horrible. First up is the green; there are people with red-green colour blindness. These are things you might not have to think about, but are important to developers for any market.

I thought all units were able to hull down, not just Wehr ones.

Some days ago, user with nickname Sirlami (Thank you very much man) have posted screen with some unused models and mechanics in CoH 2. One of the models take my attention - T-34 with extra stuff on the hull. I've seen this model before (In 2011-2012) when CoH 2 was in development. But for some unknown reason Relic rejected it.
Can Relic put it back in the game instead of actual T-34 model? It still below than models of WFA and UKF, but much better, than actual model of T-34!

Thank you for your attention! :)

Good day!

Oh yeah, agreed!
What a custom; I also created a thread with a similar theme: I hope i'll get your support and you will also get my support.

You are interested? Look here: https://www.coh2.org/topic/53542/please-bring-back-some-older-sounds

The mainstream of the players are supporting this ideas!

Yeah but for others you can set up the option to be available.

Well... technically you could play a multiplayergame as wehr with hulldown, capture another factions vechile and then make it hulldown?

But i haven't tested it...

Nah I just tested it the other day with the British by giving them the ability to hull down (both to the tanks and the infantry) and nothing, I also tried with the OKW's Jagdtiger, nothing.

I'm not even sure if the Tiger can be hulled down since it's not in any doctrine that has hull down.

I am pretty sure that at least all Ostheer vehicles can be hulled down.
IMO Relic created the commander's abilities without even knowing which one will be in which commander in the final game so they probably just made a function that hulls down the area around the targeted object.
For example Soviets had a commander with ISU + IS2 + Bombing run in the Alpha (I think it is also posted in this thread).

I am actually a bit irritated why Allied vehicles can't be hulled down. I'm gonna test that one later.

Obersoldaten used to be called "Honor Guard", the name change explains why they're never referred to in-name by the audio. Volksgrenadiers still refer to them as Honor Guards in their idle chatter.

OKW had a StuG III, the commander voice still calls the Sturmtiger a "StuG Drei" by mistake on occasion.
