Yes, you receive more veterancy based on the value of the target you are hitting. Since tanks are more valuable, you get more XP. I don't know the exact mechanism behind that (e.g., do you get XP proportional to the target's max HP or not)
However, yes, to me it seems that this is, was and will remain a major enabler for AT blobs until it is fixed:
- Enemy fields a light vehicle -> easy vet for your infantry
- Your vet3 "AT" infantry can now run over the enemy's vet0 infantry.
Damaging or killing 240mp LV like kubel gains as much experience as damaging or wiping an 240mp infantry squad. The real reason why LVs seem to feed infantry to opponents is that they are often used as damage sponges, couse they are fast and easy to repair. 222 and m3a1 are good examples of that. Yet, they don't have to be used in such matter, so it's not true that fighting with LVs feeds vet. Many players organise their whole early game strategy around avoiding being shot at and it works great. |
I think if anything, the Panzer IV just needs a Pen buff to make it scale better against Comets and heavies.
I agree, its damn stupid that the p4 has 110 pen while sherman AP and cromwell have 120. Especially as even in the model you can see that p4s gun is longer barreled and thus should have better pen. I would even suggest buffing p4 to 120 pen while nerfing cromwell and sherman to 110 at the same time. |

tiger and KT say otherwise
Well, yeah, you are right. On the other hand, don't you think that the top medium of a faction should reliably pen the rear armour of heavies? That's what top mediums are all about. |
I'm not really interested in desyncing anybody but can you confirm that's caused by disconnecting your router or something like in CoH?
I'm asking because 2 out of those around 10 games were with my friends and I don't believe any of them is assholish enough to do such a thing. Surprisingly I also only twice got lookt points out of those matches, the rest were 0.
I didn't mean physically breaking the connection. I haven't tested it and if the net code is done correctly it should always couse simple disconnect instead of desync, but as there were problems with it in coh1, it is possible they screw it up again.
As I said before my idea on how to desync is different but I'm not going to tell anybody how to do it just becouse I don't like such practices. That's why I'm also not going to do it myself. |
T-34/85 penned rear armour of all axis tanks 100% since forever. The rear armour nerf buffed the t-34/76 significantly, thogh, in fact heavy armour is the only targets it's able to hit quite often. |
You shouldn't put any names in the thread if you have word 'cheating' anywhere in the thread title or opening post. This is against coh2.org rules and you can get banned for it.
Cyanara is right though, cousing a desync is pretty easy, trivial one could say, but gaining a win from it is the whole new story. I don't think its possible to advance in the ladders by desyncing opponents you can't beat. |
I guess I have added that I haven't played that commander in my original post for no reason, did I?
But you still need specific commander to be able to build T-34/85 right?
The 85 is just ability-unlocked additional unit in soviet T4. The unlock ability is in the commanders that earlier had 2x od 1x 85 callin, is 0cp and passive. |
The revert on mg buff for 85s is the only option that makes any sense. On the other hand, the unit was never used before the buff so maybe there is a need for other small buff instead. Changing price is really a bad idea, the vehicle is already paced really late. It's relatively cheap becouse it is only usefull in numbers, just becouse once it arrives its window of opportunity is already closed.
On contrary, the P4 is build usually only one to take advantage of its huge window of opportunity (against anybody but brits), thanks to relatively low tech cost that makes up for high unit cost. Then the counters arrive and you are better of with P4 and a stug than 2 P4s.
That's just how the these units are designed and comparing only the pricing of these two is a major mistake. |
Why can't you just play coh1 if you want to play PE? This is a different game with different factions. And that is better becouse I wouldn't like to pay twice for the same thing. |
